Dr. Melissa Beth Glasser-Caine, MD

She is an incredibly patient and kind Dr.. Doesn't treat you as a number and takes her time with you. I have used her for over 20 years and have never had anything less than a great visit. I think some of these reviews are made up by a disgruntled patient. Take the time to meet with her and you will see. She the best!!

I was about to make an appointment with this doctor BUT after reading all the horrible reviews, I will continue to search. Don't understand how they came up with 4 Star Review?????

Thorough doctor however impossible to reach to get results and no one ever returns your call. Very frustrating so I changed doctors.

Where to begin… I was a dedicated patient of this doctor for many years and would travel from over an hour away to see her. Even though I have waited more than three hours to see her and she never seem to care about her patients or appointments. The day I found out i had a miscarriage all she had to say was that I needed to book an appointment with the hospital for a DNC and on my way out while I was still hysterically crying and in shock they stopped me to make sure that I had paid for my visits. She also never checked in with me after The dnc would she did not do for me and my experience with her only continue to go downhill. Since I had moved and couldn’t continue to make the drive for a doctor that I was already not very happy with I tried to get my records from them and they would not release them. I called over a dozen times and was treated very rudely by the receptionist and finally said OK let me give this one more try and come back into her office. The receptionist said she… would get back to me by the next day and a week later once I had still heard nothing I called back again and she said”dr glasser doesn’t want you as her patient anymore and won’t be accepting you back@. Just like that. No explanation, apparently she was not even going to let me know unless I continue to call to find this out and they will still not release my records. After all that I have been through with this doctor I don’t know what her problem is but the fact that she could be so incredibly rude And gave me anxiety every time I went to see with her was a blessing that I couldn’t go back. Also, while I was pregnant I was feeling very very sick in the office would not call me back. Eventually I ended up passing out and when I called the office the doctor on call- some man I had never spoken to before called me back after I left three urgent messages and said obviously I should go to the emergency room and I should’ve gone already. Like I was an idiot. At that time I still had some respect for Dr. Glaser so I wanted to stay with the practice even though I didn’t want to chance ever having To deal with this other doctor she worked with again. All they care about is your money and getting patients in and out. Do yourself a favor and go someplace where they actually care about you

At my last appointment she couldnt say anything regarding any questions/concerns I had, but rather call me fat after telling her about the rough year I had and how depressed I was. The only thing good that came from the coronavirus was that I didn’t have to physically go in and see her, but had a virtual appointment online instead. Not realizing how much time has passed, I called the other day to have a prescription called in and to make an appointment... NO answer. I left a message, did NOT hear back for multiple days. I called today and had no answer, then tried a few minutes later because it did not seem right and got an answer from a woman with a massive attitude saying “what do you want?” She proceeded to be nasty with me on the phone for no reason at all. I was being patient with her, but she was continuously not being nice to me so I ended up saying may I just speak with the doctor, then I was informed doctor isn’t in the office the days it says she is online. I do not… understand why the woman was so nasty with me, but she eventually ended up hanging up on me without making an appointment! This is beyond backwards and an uncalled for situation. Also, based off of other reviews online, I learned that she switched doctors offices to Baldwin... how would I know this when I would arrive at my next appointment if she hadn’t sent anything out about the switch from RVC to Baldwin? I do NOT recommend this doctor. She should consider better staff as well.

Unless you are having a baby steer clear of this office and doctor. Even then I would think twice about it. There is no covering doctor or nurse practitioner in the office so if you have an emergency you are out of luck. They refused to renew a medicine for my daughter who, without this medicine, gets very bad cysts and has been in the ER twice because of it. They insisted my daughter make an appointment to get the prescription, which was fine, but they refused to give her a date that would be before her meds ran out, leaving her vulnerable to these very dangerous cysts. UNBELIEVABLE! The office wouldn’t help me and I’m still waiting for a callback from Dr. Glasser herself. Besides this, from the beginning of my experience with them- they do not call drug stores back to renew prescriptions, the wait time in the office is always at least 45 min plus another hour waiting in the room. The front office is rude and it’s impossible to make an appointment unless it’s many many months in… advance. My advice:find another practice.

Made kind of rude comments about me being a virgin. When it was time for a pap smear she shoved the speculum in with no lubrication before I even had my legs in the stirrups. I was in terrible pain and when I said I thought something was wrong she told me to "get over it". Between that and the 2 hour wait (1 hour naked in the room) I won't be going back.

Impossible to get an appointment! Then, once you finally get one, they will continue to cancel and reschedule appointments on you numerous times (up to months). Be careful, they don't call to remind you about rescheduled appointments either. Rude front desk. If you are not an OB patient, you are simply not a priority.
