Dr. Melissa Anne Goodwin, DO

My husband and I are both physicians and due to my cancer diagnosis I cannot have children. We have a surrogate currently 13 weeks pregnant, that was scheduled to see Dr Goodwin today. We were told that we were not able to phone into the appointments bc our questions would “back her up” and she doesn’t have the time to potentially answer any questions we might have. As a breast cancer surgeon myself, this is completely unacceptable!

Dr. Goodwin is patient, considerate, and thorough when I have seen her. She inherited me as a patient when my previous doctor, (Orjuela) passed away unexpectedly. I can't imagine how overwhelming that time must have been for their office! She and the other doctors stepped up and took on the patients that would have to find another doctor. Around the same time, they had another doctor retire. The wait was super long, yes, but Dr. Goodwin sat and answered all my questions and addressed any concerns that I had. Since that time, I have been back and the wait wasn't nearly as long. I've been nothing but happy as a patient of hers.

The door And did a softball throw and punched me in the bottom with a fist full of suppositories and whispered I did that so u dont hemorrage and die we are not liable and then exited the room all I could do was cry in agonizing pain

If I could give zero stars, I would. Save yourself the heartache and worrying by going somewhere else. This office alone has a staffing issue, as in...staff is unprofessional and rude, to the point of flat out ignoring someone speaking to them, or cutting them off. The nurses and Dr. Goodwin both specialize in blowing the patient off, minimizing genuine health concerns, and making it blatantly obvious that, to them, the patients concerns are a waste of their time. Don't get me started on her non-existent bedside manner. It isn't any better than her in office patient demeanor. And the online list of conditions she "specializes" in is a joke. Because our daughter experienced a variety of those "conditions" throughout her pregnancy, including preeclampsia that was ignored until after delivery, and was never taken seriously! Simple tests were not ordered, and symptoms that were screaming loud were flat out ignored. Everything was classified as "normal". Dr. Goodwin seems to feel as if… since she didn't experience it herself during pregnancy, then surely none of her patients are. She is a Malpractice and negligence case waiting to happen.

Dr. Goodwin and her staff have always been great to me. Been going to her for over 4 years and wouldn't go to someone else unless I had to!

She was my ob/gyn when I was pregnant with my son and she was friendly, respectful, and made me feel as comfortable as possible when I was nervous

She is best Doctor I have seen , she listens very carefully and take time to know the patient want to know of health .

Went to Dr Goodwin for prenatal care. She was great with being respectful of my wishes for a natural birth and minimal interventions. She was conservative when needed, ordering ultrasounds to monitor for growth when I measured small and had decreased movement but limited ultrasounds to only medical need. She asked if I wanted cerical checks instead of mandating them. I never felt rushed out of her office and I always asked several questions. I wish she could have been on call when I delivered but I know she can't work all the time

She is a great DR
