Caring and casual and nice

I have been a patient of Dr. Huie for nine years. He is an excellent internest.

I have been associated with Dr Huie since he started his practice in Orinda. I have found him to be skilled, compassionate,and totally patient oriented, He also has an excellent office staff. Over the years { Don't be fooled by that baby face, he's older than he looks], I have referred several people to Dr Huie's services and all of them have reported positively on the care they received. I have been going to Dr. Huie a long time. For simple things like the flu, colds, allergies and sports related injuries (minor) he is great. Expect to wait quite awhile to see him for an appt. Not sure why. I like the fact that he has given me referrals quickly for other dr's I need to see and helps evaluate my medical problem.

Similar to other reviewers, I found Dr. Huie to be knowledgeable, personable, easy going and willing to listen and spend adequate time. My only complaint is an apparent lack of respect for my time. I schedule appointments to be the first patient of the day, but everytime I've seen the doctor, he shows up to the office 10 - 15 minutes late. I figure if I can be on time, why can't he, and it looks like he's just walked down the hill from his home. I find this very disrespectful. It's not that he's running over with other patients - he hasn't even arrived at the building. I don't think he'd approve of his kids being late for school on a regular basis, and he'd be fired from most other jobs for this behavior, so why does he think it's ok?

I was just looking up his address and saw this. So I want to whole heartedly respond that over the years, Dr. Huie and his staff have been not only highy professional medical practitioners, but also they really care and build a positive relationship with patients. I consider Dr. Huie and staff as my friends as well as medical experts.

It has been a long time time since I had to see him. Wow was I surprized that he had remodeled. It looks fantastic and very comforting. I really enjoy the video photos around the room. I am glad to see he is still his smiling self.the only problem I had is with his secretary Sandy and her personality.

It seems that these days, many doctors choose to treat patients as a "statistic" rather than a fellow human. In contrast, Dr. Huie actually listens and suggests treatment based on one's individual needs. This aspect, coupled with his kindness and professional manner, are the reasons I choose him as my doctor. I recommend him to my friends and anyone seeking a doctor in his field. His staff is great, too.

I love Dr. Huie's informality and lack of pretension. He's well informed, knows the specialists within ABMG, and is willing to explore alternative treatments. I have never had to wait a long time, nor ever felt I was getting the bum's rush out of there.I like him so much, I had my husband change doctors and he goes to him now, too.

I thought Doctors like him went to the waste side in the 50's. He actually listens to his patients. He worked with me and my illness with such great care and compassion. I haven't had such a great doctor since I was a child
