Dr. Meredith K Martin-Johnston, DO

Dr. Johnston was a breathe of fresh air. Instead of just telling me about what or how things would happen in my pregnancy- she listened to me and what I was looking for. This was a marked difference that my prior OBGYN experience. Dr. Johnston was not just a great listener but just a down to earth, caring on my visits. She was gentle on examination and our visits together went by without a hitch. On the date of my delivery, Dr. Johnston delivered our beautiful daughter, Ella and I couldn't have been happier with my time with her for the past several months seeing her in her Lake Zurich office.

Most uncaring, unprofessional doctor. No follow up at all. I had a biopsy performed and never received Dr. Johnston's interpretation of the results despite asking many times. Countless phone calls and a message in the portal went unanswered for the biopsy results among many other things. The most I could get was her nurse telling me the biopsy was normal. After weeks I finally gave up on Dr. Johnston and found a new doctor. Turns out the biopsy was NOT normal at all. Other issues I had with Dr. Johnston included misdiagnoses which led to medications I didn't need, cold responses to questions, and blood work in which I never received results (a nurse informed me 2 weeks after blood was drawn that Dr. Johnston had never even bothered to look at them). A doctor should care about their patients. Dr. Johnston made it very clear that she does not.

Dr. Martin-Johnson performed a vaginal hysterectomy for me due to a prolapse issue. Her care, consideration, and surgical expertise were the best. I would highly recommend her for your Obstetric and Gynecology care!

Dr. Johnston provided excellent and emergent Care for my premature twins on the night of my delivery. She talked to and kept my family update to throughout my delivery. She didn’t rush me or push me into anyway without walking me throughout it. If you are looking for a doctor who listens first to you and then talks, she is that kind of doctor you are looking for.

Left my pap appt feeling completely assaulted and in horrible pain. I bled for 4 days after. And the results were normal. No compassion. Jammed a 3 size too big speculum in me and kept trying to make it fit as I cried in pain.

A great combination of compassion and knowledge is exactly what I found seeing Dr. Johnston. I saw here 8 times during my first pregnancy and she was cheery, bright and responsive to my questions throughout the process. And as a first time mother, she never rushed me through my numerous questions. She was a breathe of fresh air and I would recommend her to my soon expecting friends.

Dr. Johnston is the best! She spends time with me . I never feel rushed. Her staff is always courteous .

Dr. Johnston was a breathe of fresh air after seeing other OBGYNs in Park Ridge area for my two other kids. She was prompt and let me ask several questions before even starting the exam. Listening first to the patient made me feel comfortable and the appointments that followed very enjoyable. The staff in her office were great with scheduling and setting up tests as we got closer to my delivery. Dr. Johnston is exactly the type of doctor you recommend to your friends because you have a great experience with her like I did with my daughter she delivered.
