Dr. Meril Sue Platzer, MD

I had terrible insomnia, to the point it was making me sick, unable to function. My husband was found to have dementia so together we were both treated by Dr. Platzer. We were both helped inasmuch as we felt we were being well taken care of, as her time with us was warm, knowledgable, and she took out the time to listen to us and act professional and helpful beyond our expectations. I haven't had a sleepless night since my first visit as her treatment was stellar. I highly recommend Dr. Platzer as she treats us like a professional friend and not a #, I loved that!

Dr. Platzer is very knowledgeable and personable. She really cares about her patients and takes all the time she needs to listen to and understand her patients.

Went to her for years as she prescribed the same medications for me (neurontin) without bloodwork follow up. I tried to explain new symptoms, but she ignored them and would just increase the neurontin. I had been hospitalized for a fairly long stay and she never once visited me and the hospital acted like they didn't even know who she was. My condition was misdiagnosed for years. I finally stopped seeing her after she herself left a belligerent message on my answering machine demanding that I pay her a balance of $250 that was owed to her, begging me to pay so she could pay her house payment. Her office looks like it is a pediatric office from the 70's.

I cant thank Dr Platzer enough for being my neurologist! Resourceful and reliable and more importantly, I'm free of migraines. Feeling blessed.

Being a "seasoned patient"(66 years old)-- auto pedestrian accident when I was 17 (came close to losing my life) suffered 2 broken arms, concussion,etc. in 2006 I endured an unnecessary surgery (leaving me with pain that was far worse than the pain for which I initially saw him), 2009 a botched surgery, these are only the "highlights"........I began seeing Dr. Platzer about 2 years ago & she has continuously helped to alleviate my pain.
