Dr. Merlyn Doraiswamy Vemury, MD

I came to this doctor after being assigned by priority partners. Apparently they do this arbitrarily. I had a list of things going on and was able to pull up some lab results from a previous doctor. She told me she had no time to look at those. Wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic which she did no tests to find out if I even needed. I never took it because I trust her! She wouldn't even write me a referral to see a specialist which is what I needed. That god I didn't take her advice because I had no infection. Next doctor heard my story drew tons of labs and did two different ultrasounds and found I may have a lesion in my brain. Please beware of this doctor if you are worried about your health.

Very unprofessional. My appointment was 9:15, two ppl a head of me and she gets in the office at 9:30. Last time she came in one hour after my appointment was scheduled. And once before they canceled my appointment 15 min prior. She keeps scheduling appointments for me to come back for no reason.

She talks to her patients like they are children.

I'm so very pleased with Dr. Vemury! She has been an excellent doctor for my care. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, but Dr. Vemury insisted that I cure myself with a lifestyle change. It worked! I lost 40 lbs. and had no medications. I began to exercise, simple walks 3-4 days each week. And my A1c went down from 7.5 to 6.2 in 60 days! So thank you so much for being kind, and for caring for me in such a wonderful manner. I'm very grateful to you, Dr. Vemury!

I started taking my mother to Dr. Vemury about 15 years ago. She loves her! The wait times can get bad but she's changed her office staff and things seem to be getting better.

SHE SHOULDNT EVEN BE CALLED A DOCTOR BY ANY STANDARDS. SHE DOES NOT LISTEN TO A PATIENT BUT FORCES HER INACCURATE DIAGNOSIS ON THEM. SHE IS COMPLETLY INCOMPETENT. SHE SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE MEDICINE. SHE HAD GIVEN MY MOTHER THE RUN AROUND CLAIMING HER SYMPTOMS WERE PRE MENOPAUSE WHEN IN FACT SHE HAD CANCER. IF I HADNT CHANGED OUR PRIMARY PHYSICIAN MY MOTHER WOULD HAVE CONTINUED FILLING THIS "DOCTORS" POCKETS. SHE CARES ONLY OF HER COPAY NOT OF HER PATIENTS. STAY AWAY!

Dr. Merlyn Vemury is the worst doctor that I have ever encountered. I'm sure there are many people dead because of her. She is not willing to listen to the patient, and when she does, she is very condesending, and tries to make you feel stupid. She made a very bad diagnosis and was not willing to offer an apology, nor would she accept responsibility for her actions. I wonder how she ever got as far as she did in the field of medicine.
