Dr. Michael T Bills, DDS

Dr Michael T. Bills was born in Cass City and raised in the Thumb. He graduated from Cass City high school in 1990. He then went on to study engineering and biology at Michigan Technological University in the Upper Peninsula before attending dental school at the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry.
Upon graduating from dental school in 2000, Dr Bills joined the practice of Dr Coe in Sebewaing where he met his wife Betty. In 2001, Dr Bills moved to Bad Axe to join the office of Dr Straight. In 2006, Dr Bills purchased the practice from Dr Straight. Dr Bills has been practicing dentistry at this same office location since 2001.
Growing up in the Thumb, Dr Bills parents taught him the principals of fairness, honesty and the value of a dollar. Because of this, Dr Bills stands behind all the treatments he delivers with one of the best warrantees in all of dentistry. He feels if you paid to have the work done and that work fails, you should not have to pay for it to be done a second …time. Dr Bills unique combination of life experiences has played a major role in how he practices dentistry. His experience in construction and engineering has led him to believe anything worth building is worth building right! Thus Dr Bills only recommends treatments which are expected to yield lasting results. He knows that in the long run you will save time and money by not having to replace/redo work which was already done. Dr Bills biology background helps him to evaluate his patients medical concerns as they relate to safely delivering dentistry.
Dr Bills and his team are able to provide patients with many types of treatment (dentures, composites, crowns, root canals and extractions) so that he can help his patients stay local instead of going to the city for treatment. Dr Bills utilizes sedation dentistry for his patients that are apprehensive about treatment. Dr Bills and his staff do a great job making every patient feel special and at ease and knowing that the only thing they want are for their patients to have the best oral health care possible.
Dr Bills personally seeks out and completes five times the required amount of training hours necessary annually to maintain his dental license in good standing. What that means is Dr Bills may well have already completed more continuing education credits since graduating dental school than some other dentist complete in their entire dental career!
Dr Bills and his wife, Betty, have four children, three daughters, Taylor, Michaela and Sheridan and one son Zachary. They currently reside in Port Austin. Dr Bills enjoys spending time with his family when he is out of the office. It is not unusual to see the family visiting dad at work lending their own brand of excitement and happiness to the office environment.
