Dr.Boettcher was very kind and listen to the concerns very patiently and address all the queries with a good explaination. The nurse/assistant was also amazing, experienced and friendly. I highly recommend it

Dr. Boettcher had a med student Mina I believe her name was is amazing ! I was asked if it was okay for her to come in and I said yes - we were there for my son's 2 year check up. She was so patient and let my child see her stethoscope and also talked to him as she was going through the check up with him she made it funny and my child was totally calm and cooperative the whole process. Dr. Boettcher was asking her questions along the way as well - overall always a great visit and we love Dr Boettcher!

Doctor rushes through the examination, has terrible patient/parent interaction, and ended up misdagnosing a basic ear infection. Not the first time this has happened with him.

I would safely say that Dr. Michael Boettcher is the worst doctor I had encountered. Ever. I took my 11 month old son to his practice in DuPage Medical Group. We just moved out of Chicago to the suburbs, and so was about 15 miles away from our regular doctor. My son needed a doctor that day, but the weather was bad for traveling with snow and freezing rain lacing the interstates. One of my husband's work colleagues mentioned using DPG for his kids, so we decided to take my son there. Unlike other doctor's offices we visited, there was no nurse involved with initial check up. No one measured my son's temperature or other vitals! Dr. Michael Boettcher entered the examination room with one of his students. He didn't pay much attention to what we were saying. After a few minutes, he left the room letting his student examine my son first. When he came back, he mostly used my son (and us) as props for teaching the student! He often used phrases like "____ is a red herring" to describe… (or summarize) my son's symptoms to the student, totally disregarding the fact that a distressed 11 month old and his very worried parents are present in the same room. He didn't talk with us, he talked over us. He didn't explain any of his observations to us. He paid little or no attention to my son's drug allergies and ended up not discussing with us the treatment he is prescribing before leaving the room. He also sent the prescription to our neighborhood pharmacy with a wrong name attached to it, so it was a nightmare to buy the medication that evening. Then I realized he prescribed the same antibiotics that my son had a bad reaction to in the past, leaving us in a very uncertain situation late in the evening. I don't know if he has a good practice and if he is a good doctor. But our experience shows that he is unprofessional, rude and his carelessness in paying attention will make him ineffective at the least, and it can be detrimental to his patients. I will never recommend anyone to this doctor, and would urge his current patients to be vigilant about him as well. Thanks for reading this.
