My husband recently had his second knee replacement with Dr. Bolognesi at Duke Hospital. From the initial visit to the hospital discharge, we were very pleased. Rarely do you find a superior surgeon with an excellent bed-side manner. He is genuinely concerned about his patients' well-being. We never felt rushed; he listened and answered our many questions; explaining in a way we could understand. He is personal and professional. If you ever need this type of surgery, Dr. Bolognesi is doctor you want.

Would recommend him for knee replacement in a minute. Had both knees done within 6months of each other. Had a good experience seeing I'am a 73 year old man.

Dr. Bolognesi did a total knee replacement for me and I am very pleased with the results. He and his staff were wonderful throughout the entire process.

Dr. Bolognesi did hip replacement surgery. He has an excellent bedside manner until something goes wrong. Then, he basically drops you as a patient and refuses follow-up. The result of the surgery is drop foot...walker, pain medication, nerve medication, and no end in sight. His office refuses follow-up. Think long and hard before using him.

I had knee replacement surgery in June, 2011. Dr. Michael Bolognesi has magic in his hands. I went from great pain to pain free walking. I cannot thank him enough for his knowledge, compassion, and skills. He truly cares about his patients and their quality of life.

He spends a lot of time & money with DePuy and other eqmpt companies. He did not spend time with me, lied to me & a year, I am waiting for the infection Bolognesi left inside my leg to resolve. Next month a different surgeon will do surgery - I hope Bolognesi's negligence doesn't lead to my losing my leg.

At age 73, after having my hip completely frozen by osteoarthritis, I sought an appointment with Dr. Michael Bolognesi at the suggestion of a friend. Dr. Bolognesi was knowledgeable, caring and sensitive to my fear of surgery. After the surgery I was amazed by the results after only a short recovery and physical therapy. I have regained independent living and would recommend him to anyone needing a hip replacement. During follow-up visits and after noticing my severe back pain Dr. Bolognesi also referred me to another Doctor and that has been very beneficial. He and his team are wonderful!
