"I would leave no stars if possible. This man operated on my parent after being told by the anesthesiologist trace e.coli was in the system. My parent was in a septic coma within 24 hours of outpatient discharge and died. My parent had high blood pressure and removal of medicine for surgery was complicated. This reasoning was used to discount my parent’s death. Trace e. Coli was detected and ignored. Surgery initiated. My parent died from septic coma after Cowan surgery. It was the most difficult experience of my life and I will never be okay. This practice does not care. She was just a case number deactivated from their system."

Dr. Michael Cowan performed a decompression spine surgery on my husband on August 8, 2025. He was one of the most personable doctors we have ever met. He was friendly, but very professional when he interacted with our family. Dr. Cowan speaks to you in easy to understand terms. He is concise and is willing to take the time to answer questions. Our family gives Dr Cowan 5 stars.

Nothing but great things to say about Dr Cowan. He is very pleasant to interact with and the results speak for themself. I have been pain free after years of horrible pain. Listen to him. He will listen to you.

Dr. Cowan has performed 3 back surgerys and 1 neck surgery and will end up having to have a neck fusion on me. I have spent a lot of time with Dr. Cowan so I hands down recommend him for any spinal issues you are having. He is the best!

I don't even like Doctors, but he is more then a doctor he is a very caring person. went to him with a bulge disc and instead of surgery he sent me to pt where they are trying to avoid surgery. in my book he is the best. Thank you Dr. Cowen

Be very careful of this little man. He may not have your best interests at heart. If he's nice to you, it may only be because he considers you a viable surgical candidate. Based on my experience with him, I wouldn't trust his skill to operate on my hamster.

I had to wait 1 1/2 hours after my appointment time. He spent about 3 - 4 minutes with me and just by the conversation, I realized that he had not thoroughly reviewed my records that were faxed to him 3 weeks earlier.
