Dr. Michael Wayne Cowart, MD

This practice is terrific! Dr.Michael Cowart is a person who genuinely cares about his patients. He always takes the time to explain things to me. He’s diligent in making sure my health is the best it can be. He’s also an excellent surgeon.The staff is very kind friendly and professional. Very impressed w.the overall experience.Highly recommend compassionate and brilliant doctor!

I saw Dr. Cowart for years prior to my first live birth. He was wonderful. He was seriously one of the sweetest people I had ever met. I describe Dr. Cowart as a great friend and a terrible doctor. I met Dr. Cowart on what was the worst day of my life. He was so great at taking care of me and doing all that was needed to save me and comfort me and the same time. Over the years we became close so close that my husband would take off work just to go with me to see him. He even invited us to his house a couple of times. When I was pregnant I was high risk. This was not taken seriously. I had very obvious medical conditions that were totally over looked. I had quite the complicated birth. I inquired about records. Presby of Rockwall sent me hundreds and hundreds of pages of medical notes from my sons birth and my hospital stay. I have minimal medical knowledge but I know enough that I was able to read the records and know that things were falsified and things were not explained and even… drugs were not logged that were given to me via IV (how I know this, my husband has a pic of me and we can see what the bag is labeled). I also know enough to know that another doctor that was in the case totally disagreed with his process as noted in the medical record. I have no desire to "sue" Dr. Cowart or ruin his career. Some people really enjoy him and I think that is great, he is a super trustworthy guy but I would warn anyone that is high risk or feels they would be high risk or even feels that something isn't right to please go with that feeling and demand more and if those demands are not met please go elsewhere.

I have seen Dr Cowart for about 20 years. I was diagnosed with cancer and he was so supportive, caring and always made extra time for me. If I could have him take care ov all of my health care needs I would. I trust him completely.

Dr. Cowart and his staff are great! I wish i had found them sooner. I have had horrible experiences with Ob-gyn drs and was so nervous and scared to death when I went to see him the first time. He took the time to sit and talk with me and reassure me that everything would be alright. He is very honest and extremely respectful. He treats you as a person and tries to get to know you and your family. When you leave there you dont feel like you are just another patient case you feel like you have a friend. I highly recommend him to everyone.

I made the doctor aware that I was a very nervous patient and at first he seemed sincere. As the appt progressed he ended up having no patience and completely uncaring and down right rude. He obviously didn't care about me and didn't want a patient. The nurse was like a programmed robot who was just as rude. Stay away is the bottom line!

Dr. Cowart is an amazing doctor, he's very caring, and VERY friendly. I was so nervous But he made me feel good and comfortable, his staff are amazong,

When I first met Dr Cowart here seemed very nice and caring but as time went on I too saw that he is rude, condescending and has no bedside manner along with his blonde nurse (can't remember her name). There is a very long wait time. One time I actually took a nap in the exam room because he took so long and if you complained, you were chastised.

He is knowledgeable but unfortunately degrading and demeaning. He called me "ignorant and uneducated" when I inquired about natural birth at 8 months ...

He has NO bedside manner. Degrading. Womanizing. Rude. Cocky.

If I could do more than 5 stars I would. Dr. Cowart is an amazing doctor, he's very caring, and VERY friendly. I'm young and was very nervous going to the doctor when I first found out I was pregnant I am currently still under his care and most people probably wait until after delivery to do a review to review the whole experience but oh well. He's amazing.
