Dr. Michael Arnold Franklin, MD

Dr. Franklin is wonderful but his assistant is no caring and non responsive. Unfortunately she is the hurdle to pass to get to Dr. Franklin. He needs competent person that care about patient wellbeing that do not tarnish his image.

Dr. Franklin helped in making my diagnosis of epilepsy much better by explaining well and being encouraging. I'm so glad that out of all neurologists in the area, I ended up going to him. Thanks Dr. Franklin :)

Dr. Franklin is wonderful. But, his nursing staff is sub-par and you cannot book an appointment months in advance. After 20+ years, I am ready to look for another dr.

I have CMT and he is one of only a few Doctors I've found who has extensive experience with Charcot-Marie-Tooth. 3 Other are neurologist were all but useless for me. His wait time can be a little much, but for a Doctor to spend time with you and explain things as well as he does it is worth the time. I can't suggest him enough... very knowledgable and helpful.

Told me to come back for followup, but staff says he wants to bill me out as a new patient again, and so requires a referral from my family Dr. It sounds like he is gaming the insurance, and requiring me to waste time and pay extra to help him do it. I cannot trust this office with my health if this is how they operate. It sounds easier to start over with a patient centered practice.

I had 2 strokes and am doing great

Excellent job with managing my migraines and various CNS symptoms from SLE.

I was in the hospital for a while. He was convinced I had MS, though I showed none of the tell-tale signs of the disease. Eventually I was transferred to Tampa General and diagnosed with a rare type of encephalitis. He lacks people skills and his staff lost my appointment on a follow up, and acted as though I was nuts and never had an appointment in the first place, despite it being written down on one of their own appointment cards and in my planner, as well as my husband's calendar. Have heard other people's negative experiences with him, so I would recommend any other neuro at St. Anthony's.

I MOVED TO FLORIDA & NEEDED DR. FOR MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY & FIBROMYALGIA. HE IS ONE OF A KIND. I FEEL LIKE I WON THE LOTTERY. I ACTUALLY LOOK FOWARD TO GOING TO SEE HIM. VERY THOROUGH. HIS STAFF ARE WONDERFUL.

Dr Franklin is wonderful - he is caring and professional. He was able to diagnose my problem where many many others failed. I read the negative review placed earlier and felt i wanted to respond to that person. How fortunate it was that your mother had a doctor who cared enough to be in the hospital at ten o'clock at night. Do you have any idea how rare that is? He made a personal examination - rather than depending solely on lab reports which are only one piece of the puzzle - THAT IS PROFESSIONAL. Shame on you!
