Dr. Michael Rodney Freedman, MD

Dr. Freedman is beyond professional and, more than anything, patient and makes you feel like he has all the time in the world to go over things. An amazing demeanor and is very thorough in his examinations. The office is wonderful and a far cry from standard chaotic Primary care offices. I can't say enough good things about Evolve and the entire staff.

I've been to a lot of doctors in my time. Dr. Freedman is just not like any other doctor. He sits quietly, listens carefully and actually talks with you like you are an equal human being. I never feel rushed. I don't feel like he's annoyed or burnt out. A lot of times I have questions about what another doctor said or is thinking and he reviews that doctors note or advice and then helps me truly understand it, in a way that I can totally get. Dr. Freedman is truly one of a kind. Down to earth, humble but extremely intelligent and clinically one of the best doctors I've had. And Evolve Medical, the practice he is at, is amazing. The place is like a coffee shop. Relaxing, comfortable and every one of the staff is super nice and helpful. Can't say enough good things.

Dr. Freedman is an amazingly compassionate doc with great bedside manner. He has a way of really listening in a way that no physician before him has ever done for me. My problem was very complex and a lot of other docs had missed the diagnosis but Dr. Freedman probed deeper and deeper until he was able to figure it out. He didn't just send me for tons of tests and to tons of specialist--he figured it out just by listening. I'm so grateful I found him!

Although I waited for a while, he was so compassionate and attentive, I quickly forgot all about it. I have never had someone clearly view me as an individual. He clearly cared a lot about my health and has really helped me. I would recommend him to all my friends.

I have been seeing Dr Freedman for many years and I must be one of his most difficult patients. In the beginning, he was very comforting and caring about my health. I was suffering with pain and was seeing different doctors who all told me it was the same thing. Dr Freedman took the time to get testing done instead of diagnosing me by what he "thought" it may be. Because of this, my problem was finally known and I know that he will do all that is necessary to make a correct diagnosis. As time went by and I was not as concerned about my health as he, his bedside manner went from soft and stroking to downright blunt and matter-of-fact. Although other patients may call this being "unprofessional," it was what I needed to get serious about his diagnosis and for me to take the actions that he recommended. I moved out of the immediate area but still will take a drive to continue to be under his care. If you are looking for a doctor to pussyfoot around you, stroke your ego and make you feel… good about yourself even when you are not following recommendations, then he may not be the doctor for you. If you are a person such as I who needs to be told things blunt, firm and with no-holds-barred, then he is definitely the doctor for you.
