Dr. Michael John Grear, MD

This doctor has no compassion. He is just in it for the money. He gets annoyed when I asked questions and responds with a rude tone of voice and vague response. His receptionist in Arlington Heights is rude as well too. If you ask her a question she will give you an attitude. She actually rolled her eyes at me when I requested a copy of my work status note for my employer. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to treat with this doctor.

I've been recently treated by Dr. Grear for a broken bone in my foot. Dr. Grear was extremely pleasant, spent time with me and answered all of my questions. The boot he recommended I wear was one that would provide the best protection for my lifestyle. He was genuinely interested and concerned in making sure my foot would heal properly. Would definitely recommend Dr. Grear to others.

Dr. Grear does not rush you into anything! No rash decisions, doesn't over think your injury. Takes time to ask about your life at home, work, so what ever treatment you choose it will not upset your whole life. Patient. Have family members I have recommened to him. Unlike other doctors he can handle more than one joint at time.

This guy should be a mortician since he has no ability to deal with the living. He told me I had pain in my fractured ankle because I was overweight. Duh, I'm 6 months pregnant. He prescribes opiods for me even when I'm pregnant. I went to another doctor and am extremely happy with him

This Doctor is obviously done. Time to retire and keep to yourself. No sense of humor and no social skills. Also not confident in anything he says and certainly do not want him to do surgery on me... Forgetful and needs staff to check his work.

This man has no bedside manner, he has no manners!! Avoid like the plague. You should have went into a different profession because you obviously do not know how to interact with people. would never him again.

Very unhappy that I was referred to him by my insurance. Not sure what was worse: the pain of breaking my leg or having to be treated by this awful doctor. After waiting to see him for 30 minutes, he spent 1 minute with me. I told him I had a lot of discomfort in my cast and he told me it was a good thing and offered no explanation as to why I was getting an uncomfortable stinging pain in the bottom of my foot. He told me I stick it out for another month. What a caring guy.

Don't take his opinion as granted. Always check with a different doctor. He is not patient friendly and he does not explain things. You better ask him more questions, if not you will know nothing about your case.

Not good in following up with patients. The doctor does not spend enough time with patients. In my case, a simple problem went complicated due to doctor's negligence.I would not recommend him to anyone.
