Grateful to have Dr. Handler as my son’s neurosurgeon! He has a quirky yet kind personality and is great at what he does.

We saw Dr Handler as a second opinion when another neurosurgeron wrote off our son’s issues. Dr Handler, saw us, listened and from a short conversation was able to create the best summary of our entire history with my son’s condition, and recommended surgery because his problem was in fact much worse than initially expected, and the previous surgeon had struggled to identify the atypical presentation of our child’s brain issue. Our son’s decompression brain surgery went well, everything went smoothly and we always felt like our baby was in the best hands possible! We are currently seeing Dr Handler again to plan our child’s next surgery and wouldn’t go to anyone else! I got on vitals.com and was shocked by the low score and bad reviews posted. Dr Handler is a hero to us and our son, and we owe our child’s every smile, laugh, milestone and birthday to his skills and willingness to listen to us as parents and care about our baby’s pain and future.

Dr. Handler saved my son's life ten years ago, by performing emergency brain surgery and overseeing his critical care for a month in the pediatric ICU. He came in to check him late at night, on weekends, and was always on call. He is brilliant and compassionate.

Very unhelpful when I started to ask questions and he got irritated when I tried to explain the trouble my son was having.

I like the children's hospital facility and the staff on our appointment day. Went for a second opinion, and I could have flipped a coin to get the same results. Very political trying not to step on his colleges toes. We are talking about my daughter's brain, I don't care about your colleges toes. For a department head I would expect more. Complete waste if time and money so 3rd opinion here we come.
