Dr. Michael Lee Kula, PhD

Please, please AVOID this man. His specialty is preying on the elderly and those who can't get an appointment to see more qualified practitioners. Read the detailed review, below, from a former employee, and don't go anywhere near Michael Kula.

Bad news. Made people feel less. He was arrogant. Hopefully he changed

I waited from 11:50 until 1:20 before I finally gave up and went home. He had given me forms to fill out, but they certainly didn't take anywhere near 1 1/2 hours. I would not recommend him.

I am a previous employee of Dr. Kula’s. I have worked with numerous other Neuropsychologists and I can confidently say I would not recommend anyone get an evaluation done or work for him. I left his practice due to his lack of regard for the law and sole focus on seeing as many patients per day to make maximum profit. Many people go to Dr. Kula because he can get people in much sooner than other Neuropsychologists in the area, but in order to do this he cuts many corners. Not only does he disregard the rights of his patients for valid, confidential care he disregards the rights of his employees and fraudulently claims us as contractors to take the tax burden off of himself and place it on us. It is disheartening to know that most of his employees are and have been young professionals silenced from reporting ethical concerns because of the weight of his recommendations on our futures, but I believe speaking out and seeking accountability is the right thing to do.

Dr. Kula had evaluated a friend of mine who highly recommended us to him so we used him for our son. His evaluation was excellent and very helpful. Definitely recommend!

Cannot get results. Have called no reply. Have not posted in My Aurora. Nothing. Does he actually exist.

I paid Dr. Kula $2500 to give me a 4 hour plus Neuro - Psyche test. He and his assistant were friendly and helpful in guiding me through this rather easy to answer test. Overall he gave me the results I was looking for, i.e., I had no cognitive difficulties, had no significant memory problems, and that I had the capacities to safely operate the automobile I owned. However, he couched his reccomendation with language that suggested I should be obligated to take the written and over the road tests, which I already possessed passing grades on, AGAIN! This is being JUDGMENTAL not OBJECTIVE! I got all of the traffic signs correct, but on one part of the driving related areas, he gave me a FAILING grade with a score of 71 instead of what I deserved a Barely Passing grade! When I took the written test years ago I received a passing grade of 75. I believe they will reinstate my driver's license because the DMV promised me that if I passed the Neuro-Psyche test they would reinstate me,… despite Dr. Kula's UNESSESSARY and UNQUALIFIED advice!
