Uncomfortable and Upsetting Experience: I'm a woman in my late 20s and felt uncomfortable from the interactions which occurred during my session with Michael Lasak at NYU Langone’s Greenpoint location in May 2025. He made multiple comments about my appearance, including that I was beautiful, pretty, and athletically built, and mentioned that my husband is lucky. There was also physical contact seemingly unrelated to my injury (including hand holding) which was not something I expected as part of treatment. This experience left me feeling uneasy and shaken. Afterward, I reached out to NYU Langone’s Patient Relations to share my concerns. I was unable to get a response despite many attempts by phone (over 10x) and multiple messages left, which included the nature of the call and specified my desire to report the concerns. They answered only once, and noted a patient advocate would call me the next day, which did not happen. This left me feeling unsupported and like I was not taken… seriously. After this experience, I would not return to this provider.
