Dr. Michael Drew Lasalle, MD

The receptionist or assistant who schedules appointments with Dr. LaSalle was racist and abominable. the conversation was ridden with sarcastic and demeaning overtones uncaring of the personal plight of people in need of medical assistance. No matter how we attemped to ignore her she became more bilegerent and nasty. after being referred to Dr. LaSalle we refused to set the appointment having to suffer until we are able to find someone else because of the interaction with his office.

Appears to be full of himself and like to make a show. Not uncommon to see him trapping through the hospital main entrance wearing surgical scrubs with an aire of look at me, look at me. Office waiting times are long and staff is unprofessional. Get a physician who practices medicine not himself as this physician does.

Sever pain late one Friday afternoon. Staff asked why did I wait until Friday afternoon to call. No one would speak to me or give me direction. I was told I hadn't visited LaSalle in 2 years and there is nothing they could do for me...then a hang-up. More show than substance.

Excellent urogist. Helped get through prostate cancer scare.

The doctor and his staff are completely unprofessional. The office assistant called my 74 mother and had a "cryptic" conversation about the results of her ultrasound making it sound as though the issue was so serious she was going to die and had to come in to speak to the doctor about the results in person. BUT, they didn't have an appointment for her until 10 days from the date of the call. My mother has literally had 4 days of sleepless nights and she, to no avail, has tried to call and speak to the nurse and doctor (who were repeatedly not there and not available) to get a little more information. When I called myself, the nurse and office administrator were rude and indignant.I was horrified with this level of service and had to speak up. I also filed a complaint with Kathy the supervisor at St. Barnabas Health Patient Relations, which is the hospital with which he is affiliated.

Dr. LaSalle has been my urologist for several years, he is in one word: PHENOMENAL! Dr. LaSalle is competent, compassionate, has a calm demeanor, takes the time to listen! Yes, that's right, he listens to his patients concerns! He is cautious in his approach and uses surgery only after all other options have been explored. Recently, Dr. LaSalle discovered a foreign body in my bladder, it was a difficult surgery, but he thought out-of-the-box & obtained a special instrument to remove it. I haven't had an issue since the surgery. Doctor's office staff, Laurie & Tonya are kind, competent & very helpful. Doctors office is large, with plenty of seating in the waiting room, it's clean, neat and organized.
