Dr. Michael Kevin Maraist, MD

Dr. Maraist is the most caring, compassionate doctor I have ever dealt with. He takes the time to listen to patients and finds the best treatment plan for the symptoms. I would highly recommend him for both neurological and sleep study issues. Great doctor.

I was referred to University of Florida Health Care where Dr. Maraist was practicing, after four years of searching for a diagnosis for undiagnosed syncope. After ordering many tests, he researched after office hours and ordered a specialized test. The test lead to the diagnosis of this disease, which typically effects women 90% of the time between 25 - 40 yr's. of age. As a male patient, it is rairly seen. Although there is no cure, it is not terminal and can be managed by medications and lifestyle changes. I will miss him as he has now moved on, but will always be greatful to his knowledge, kindness, and friendship to both myself and wife.

Dr. Maraist is intelligent and kind. I wish more physicians treated their patients like human beings. I'm grateful to have a neurologist that I trust.

Dr. Maraist sometimes spends over an hour with his new patients going over their conditions. He schedule follow-ups with his patients and does his best to fit them into his busy schedule when the need arises. Often he forgoes lunch to meet the emergent needs of his patients regardless of what they look like. The last review was tasteless and does not in any way characterize this exceptional doctor.

Dr. Maraist is the best doctor I've ever had. He is an angel in my book. He has been my doctor since 2008. I came to him initially to help me with my migraines and sleep disorder. In 2011 I was a police officer who suffered a traumatic, unexpected spinal cord injury. Dr. Maraist never turned his back on me. He continues to treat me and because of him and God I would not be where I am at today. I am able to walk and have a positive outlook on life. Dr Maraist is one of the best Doctors I have had the pleasure of meeting. He spends more time with his patients and gets the diagnosis right. He is up to date with the latest technology and medication. I have seen a huge health improvement after his work. So glad he has left Heart and Family and struck out on his own!

Dr. Maraist ventured out on his own. He let his patients know that he was transitioning to a new facility. He didn't leave anyone to die. He would never do that. Starting his own practice was not a financial gain but a change of lifestyle. Money is not everything and certainly not to him. Starting his own practice took a lot of hard work and determination to get through all of the challenges. He is an amazing Doctor who takes the time to see the big picture. It is hard to find someone who treats patients the way he does.
