Dr. Michael Louis Patete, MD

Went to see Dr. Patete with runny nose and persistent deep cough. He sent me right over to Rave to get a x-ray.turned out I needed a lung dr. Sent my referral right over. I was more than pleased that he took the time out of his busy schedule to take care of me.

Would Not recommend this so called dr or his office to my enemy. My husband went in with ear problem this dr did not even check his ear.. don’t want to get into too many details but he could care less about helping you.. thank God he sent us to get different testing with which we were able to find dr that cared and said it’s not in our head something is wrong.. stay away...

I waited couple weeks to see MD and was 5 min late to appt because heavy traffic. Receptionist was extremely rude. Does not know how to talk to people. Had very bad attitude and treated me like dirt. If I treated my patients like that I would be fired on the spot! Never did get to see doc or nurse. Total waste!

I found Dr. Patete to be extremely knowledgeable and his patient interaction was pleasant and professional.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Patete and his assistant Celeste. Went in after my daughter had a lesion removed by an oral surgeon that was malignant. That doctor sent us to Dr Patete. Right away he and his staff were caring, and he quickly recognized the sense of urgency and he and his staff accelerated many of the treatments that were required by personally engaging the relevant parties. He said a PET scan and CT scan needed to be done and Celeste got us scheduled next day. He actually checked in at the imaging center when he knew we were there. They brought a positive energy to an otherwise panicky situation. Dr Patete guided us through a very difficult situation with a caring nature and a sense of urgency when engaging other physicians in expediting treatment. We feel it gave us the very best outcome.

To start, I want to say that anyone that prefers a doctor that basically coddles -- that isn't what you need. It's better the know the facts, ask the questions, and to know what you're dealing with so that you can handle it better. This is what Patete does. I have had a rough go of it lately and he was empathetic, but straight forward. He made sure that I understood everything that he was saying. He even spent time talking about things that had nothing to do with my condition. He has his own personal style and it shows, and it's wonderful because a doctor that simply follows normal procedure and goes by the book is probably giving you the diagnosis inside the box, too. Patete thinks about the bigger picture. He also gives you options for treatment while other doctor simply tell you "Do this and that's it." I'm sure he's not perfect and obviously his style/personality doesn't suit everyone, but he's a GOOD DOCTOR. When I left, he even said he hoped that he didn't have to see me, again,… but if I needed him he would be there. This may sound sarcastic to some, but this is obviously a very meaningful and heartfelt statement to me. He wears Birkenstocks because they're comfy. Other doctors wear slick, pointy, leather shoes that probably annoy them. Who do you think is going to be a more logical person and a better doctor? *Side note: That huge rant above is not trustworthy. I noticed it and read it but in the end, it's obviously a disgruntled person who isn't stable. The grammar and spelling errors alone made me wary of trusting it. Like I said, everyone is different and everyone can have different interactions, but I trust that he is a good guy.

Never, ever....have I had such a wonderful experience and care from a doctor and his staff. Outcome was cancer, and it was good to have this doctor taking care of me.
