This new technique involves an incision less than a quarter the size of even standard minimally invasive spine surgeries. No general anesthetic or stitches are needed. Patients go home one hour after the procedure with a simple Band-Aid. He regularly performs minimally invasive fusion procedures and even treats complex scoliosis surgeries with minimally invasive techniques.
As an active member of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgeons, Dr. Rimlawi regularly trains other spine surgeons around the world on the newest minimally invasive techniques. He is also a member of The North American Spine Society, and the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery (ISASS).
