I do not have the words to express how amazing Dr. Dold is. I spoke to several doctors over the course of 4 years, and can say that not a single one was as helpful as Dr. Dold. The level of care was beyond anything I have ever experienced before. After an evaluation period, decided to have surgery and Dr. Dold had the absolute best process for anyone going through such a medical procedure. The fact that Dr. Dold had a full plan laid out prior to the surgery took a lot of the stress out of the process. Dr. Dold and his staff had me prepared, despite my anxiety about surgery. Again, I cannot recommend Dr. Dold strongly enough. I can honestly say that this is the best medical experience I have had, even with a major surgery. I feel 10 years younger, and am able to live life again!! Dr. Dold is amazing, and if you need a doctor for his specialty this is the one to see!!!!

Dr. Dold did a left Hip Labral Repair and Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI) Surgery back in May of 2020. Prior to surgery, I felt awful. I frequently felt like my hip was falling apart. I could not sleep well due to pain, be intimate with my husband, or sit without pain in my groin, hip, and lower back. My husband remembers me sitting next to him in the car while he was driving, I was feeling pain and trying to cool my hip/groin area with a cold Spindrift can. Pivoting was something I tried to avoid on my left leg, which my husband pointed out to me. Overall, I tried to avoid placing my weight on my left leg as much as I could. Walking became an issue; I developed a limp. No matter what I did, I felt pain. Sometimes my hip felt like my femur was shifting with an audible clunk, and my leg did not seem to do what I wanted it to do. I was told by one orthopedic doctor that this would just be my new normal after my accident. Then, I saw Dr. Dold, who listened, looked at my MRI, took some… x-rays, and examined me. Dr. Dold cared and appeared to know instantly what to do. Covid-19 delayed surgery for a little, but immediately post-op, I felt so much better. I felt very little pain the day after surgery and only needed one Extra Strength Tylenol to my and my husband's surprise. Ice, rest and PT helped me post-op. It was amazing that my hip felt instantly stable and solid after surgery. Now, I am 5 months out from surgery and still doing PT. Honestly, I really can't thank Dr. Dold and his team enough. Thank you so much for your kindness, honesty and expertise.

TWO SURGERIES!!! ONE GREAT DOCTOR! I am extremely pleased with my experience at Star Orthopedics in Frisco with Dr. Dold. I can be a hard critic of medical care and the people employed by them. Combine that with an innate crankiness when I’m not feeling well and the results can be much less than pleasant. Due to unique injuries (detached ACL knee & shoulder blown with 5 issue) on the right side of my body I went to two other offices before discovering Dr. Dold at his practice. I was ecstatic to be treated with the true professionalism and care at Star Orthopedics. Doctor Dold and all his staff made me feel that I was in safe hands. The process of getting my insurance pre-certified for TWO separate surgeries (knee & shoulder) performed by Dr. Dold was not even a concern thanks to Barbara. Dealing with insurance when not feeling well can be a nightmare! I gave her my insurance info and was elated I only had to tell her the surgery dates after that. Dr. Dold is an amazing… surgeon with a great bedside manner, he truly cares about his patients & is very thorough. He doesn't rush you when you have your surgical consult, he will answer all your questions & make sure you understand everything that's going to happen before he leaves you. That sets him apart from a lot of other doctors, not many will do that anymore. Dr. Dold performed both my knee and shoulder surgeries at Baylor Scott & White Sports Surgery Center at the Star; which offers the latest advanced sports medical facility in the area since the Dallas Cowboys practice right across the street. After my shoulder surgery and knee surgery I was out of my braces after the first week and performing full physical therapy sessions with ease considering the condition I met him in. The physical therapist thought I was lying to them when I showed up not wearing my brace after both surgeries just one week later. Dr. Dold had to clarify to them in both cases he uses the latest surgical techniques and follow his orders! They were amazed with how fast I recovered under his care. Dr. Dold is the only orthopedic surgeon that will ever treat my family in the future!
