Excellent knowledgeable Doctor been going here for years. His diagnosis always matches the test work. Most honest Quick care you will ever get anywhere. He even treated my dying Mother with dignity and respect when nothing anyone could do for her.

The guy has serious issues totally unprofessional inferring I’m addict seeking treatment for migraines has a drug screen run and accusatory asked why I had a prescription from a dentist for 2 pills of hydro codine Telling me he doesn’t know me after I had been to him previously regarding migraine treatment and he had run all the history tests

Verry rude and unprofessional

I am a retired disabled veteran who usually deals with the VA for all of my medical needs. Unfortunately with my schedule it is sometimes very difficult to get appointments. Considering my medication i a controlled substance it is also not easy for refills on prescribed medication. Sometimes I have to get my refills through the urgent Care when I can't get an appt in time. This was one of two times in the last 2 years I've had to do so. The staff at this office was very helpful, courteous and overall pleasant. But when I got a chance to see the doctor, his behavior, attitude and professionalism was the worst I have ever seen in any medical environment. First, because I do not look my age nor my status as a retired vet, I was talked to like a teenage drug addict. His use of profanity was apparently essential to tell me his insurance doesn't cover malpractice. Now mind you, I have in no way responded as of yet nor really committed to his issuance of this medication. In reality, I was… only there because the VA would take me a lot longer and it is not very close. This doesn't mean it is impossible just inconvenient at the time. But, I was treated as if I came in with a needle hanging from my arm, pleading for drugs and arguing with his consultation. This was obviously not the case. I completely understand not trying to get a malpractice case, I also understand not issuing controlled substances to anyone if it doesn't settle right with you as a medical professional. What I don't understand, is the need for the profanity and the yelling. When I asked him to not talk to me that way he only continued to badger me. Now, as he is asking me the dosage of my current medication and I tell him, he states "I don't give a sh#&, I'm only giving you this amount" when all I was doing was answering his questions. I then replied, that he doesn't have to talk to me like that and that I'm fine with him not giving me any medication, I'm interested in being treated properly. He then yells, "fine then you're done. I'm not giving you sh#&". Then yells across the office for the nurses to terminate my account and continues to make a rather large scene. I've said nothing and only agreed to his request. I walked out to the lobby, the nurses and staff helped me get checked out. A couple of the ladies at the front desk asked me what happened. I decided to keep it vague as not to instigate any more backlash. I asked if there was someone I could talk to about his behavior and was told, he is the owner. They followed that with, he's in a bad mood this morning. After reading some of the reviews, it seems this is common. All in all, I will not be recommending this office to anyone who would like to be treated like a human being and I have since went to the VA and took care of my prescription which is free because it was service connected. So I guess it worked out. "THANK YOU!" to the kind staff that made my last visit less awkward and embarrassing, your professionalism makes up for the doctor's lacking, and as for the Doctor; unfortunately being rude and disrespectful doesn't really go against the AMA code of medical ethics specifically. Any complaints would have to go to the state medical licensing board. Not necessarily worth my troubles for him just "hurting my feelings". I believe this doctor will eventually learn his lesson, hopefully it doesn't cost him his license. Until then stay clear of his wrath. ??

I just found this site so review is late in coming. Around 2011, I suffered a blackout, loss of vision, and dizziness. Next day, I went to Schlaack's office where he diagnosed me with Vertigo and prescribed sea-sick patches. For the next few days I experienced partial memory loss, loss of direction, change of vision color and the inability to recognize faces of people I had known for years, including my wife. I returned three times to his office. The first time I asked if I was having onset of Alzheimer's. The second time, because his prescriptions were not helping, I asked about Acupuncture and was told , "You can dance around a campfire and bang a tambourine, but we're going to use WESTERN medicine." Shaking his pad of prescription blanks at me, he said, "I have plenty of these and if one doesn't do the job another will." On my third visit I told him again something was very much wrong. Obviously, quite irritated, he replied, "All right. Here's what we're going to do. I'm… going to order a bunch of tests, an MRI, a brain scan, and we're going to run up a big bill and afterwards you're going to find that you have ... VERTIGO!!" Brain scans revealed that I had experienced a TIA, small version of a stroke. I was sent to a cardiologist who discovered I had Arterial Fibrillation and immediately put on blood thinners and blood pressure medication, which I maintain today. As an afterthought, a few years prior to this incident, after taking several self-tests, I suspected I was afflicted with ADD. I made an appointment with Dr. Schlaack for his opinion. I was chastised because he "knew" I just wanted to get loaded on the drugs. A lot of regrets and gratitude this many years later. First regret, that I returned after the ADD experience. First gratitude, the brain and cardio docs that immediately discovered and treated my condition. Second regret, I did not report and/or sue this pompous, arrogant man saving others from his Quackery. Second gratitude, to God for giving me Today and this 76 years of Life.

Office staff is rude and not helpful. Miscoded Blood work to be done and refused to correct after insurance denied the claim. Would not talk to me or assist in getting corrected after they indicated they would. Will never go here again.

He calls it like he sees it. Not everyone wants to take care of their health properly. If you wont take or do the tests the Dr cant get the right answer for you. He will lead you in the right direction but taking the first steps is up to you. I really like an trust this Dr he knows how to help you.

He has been my parents doctor for years. I started seeing him about 6 months ago and he has been amazing. His office always does an awesome job getting back to me quickly after test results. He listened to all my symptoms and is very experienced. He has a fun sense of humor and is a straight shooter. No appointments because it a quick care but he is worth the wait. If you'd like to see him make sure you call to assure he is there. His PA's work there often.

I have been a patient of his for over 20 years. The last few visits over the years he is very condescending toward me and doesn't listen. He is very quick and when I ask questions he has the nerve to say "Do you think I have misdiagnosed you?" I didn't feel comfortable with the care and diagnose he gave me so I went to another doctor the very next morning. Come to find out he seemed to miss that I had a urinary infection too. I will never go back to him. His care and bedside manner are horrible!

I was a little reluctant, for two reasons, to come to this office; one, because it is an urgent care and two, because receptions customer service skills both on phone and in person could use some improvement.Once on the other side the intake was great and personable. I found Dr. Schlaack to have a playful personality and one who calls a spade a spade. Depending on a persons social style, this can be perceived as negative. Dr. Schlaack was called on an emergency and I was seen by another doctor in the office (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) who was just as awesome. She listened and did not try to rush as it happens in other offices and/or urgent cares.I had such a positive experience, this is where I will go when I require a doctor visit.
