Dr. Michael Jay Schmidt, MD

I had no health insurance and sustained an injury. Dr Schmidt did NOT listen to what my problem even was, he did however tell me 3 times how much a financial burden it would be for him to do surgery on me and how much better st Francis hospital would come out since the govt paid them a higher percentage. I was at a very low point in my life, in severe pain and this horrible treatment of my situation just made it all that worse. He left the room without ever once letting me tell him what was wrong. His assistant however was very nice and at least treated me like a human being

Did not rush to the next patient or make me feel rushed. Excellent bedside manner. Had a total knee by him with great results. Would highly recommend him for any orthopedic problem.

Did a partial knee replacement on me. He was very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. His bedside manner is outstanding! He has also seen me for a shoulder problem.
