Dr. Joseph Edward Mumford, MD

DR Mumford was an ER DR at stormont vail. I was in a construction accident. Broke my right heel shattered my left heel he rebuilt the left and ended up getting MRSA after my second surgery. Then after he sent me to wound care. Then too Dr's in whichita. After 16 surgeries ended up losing my leg . And I'd like to thank DR Mumford for that glorious event. So you be the judge

Knee replaced 10 years ago and the procedure went very well as did the functional working of the mechanism during all these years.

This Doctor was excellent, kind patient and caring. My knee replacement went well - it even corrected a back pain I had had since childhood - through therapy and use for the past several years. I would recommend Dr Mumford to anyone who is contemplating knee surgery. For those who are out of sorts about him, I recommend you look to your attitude - his is great as far as my family is concerned.

I was able to complete a 5K race in less than two months after my hip surgery. I didn't use any pain medicine when I recuperated at home after the surgery. I am completely satisfied with Dr Munford and his staff!

Dr. Mumford is a very professional, caring, well educated doctor with excellent bed side manner. He has performed many knee operations and hip replacements on my family and we all highly recommend him.

At first, this doctor seemed polite & caring. His office staff & his nurse in particular were less than polite, caring, or professional. It normally took two to three weeks to get a return phone call from his nurse. One excuse after another about how busy she was. It got old, especially when you're in a lot of pain. Despite that, I liked the doctor & continued to go. However, after a few visits, he became very unprofessional. He did not listen & when I began asking questions about my care & options, he became very irritated. He made it clear that I had no business doing my own research on my own health problem! His comments showed limited knowledge & skill. So I found a different doctor! From the time I set foot in my new doctor's office, there was no comparison to the type of care I would receive! Not long after leaving Mumford's "care", I heard a few similar stories about him. It is unfortunate, because he had the potential to be a great & caring doctor. For all future patients I… sincerely hope he will be.
