Dr. Michael Lawson Swank, MD

I have been having trouble with the tracking of my knee. The knee cap is catching due to misalignment of the knee replacement. I have not even SEEN Swank since I have been having problems with my knee. He has referred me to his PA and then another Dr. in the practice. He needs to at least face his mistakes and not pass them on without explaining what went wrong. To say the least, I would not recommend Dr. Swank.

Dr Swank got right down to business and was not afraid of the difficult situation I presented him with. Where many other Orthopods started shaking their heads and telling me why they weren't able to work on me (usually with the implication that it was somehow my fault, rather than their lack of ability) , Dr. Swank acknowledged the difficulties of my case and quickly described what he would do to make sure my surgeries would be successful. He was obviously comfortable with the level of difficulty he was faced with, and he made me confident that I was with the right doctor. Finally, a doctor that has enough skills to deal with an out-of-the-ordinary patient! (Aren't medical patients, by definition, supposed to be 'out-of-the-ordinary?' If they aren't, they are healthy, aren't they?)

Dr. Swank and his team have been a godsend to me and my family.

It has been over a year, and my hip surgery was a great success. He is excellent, through and through with a great staff, including a nurse named Martha. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Swank replaced my hip 10 years ago. Just went back for a follow up visit. He and his staff are first rate. They answer questions well, they return calls and they have great follow. He has the best staff I've ever had experience with. When my other hip gives out I hope Doc Swank will be able to replace it!

I am 27 years old and had to have a TKR done due to severe AVN in my left knee. Thinking back... I was so scared to have the procedure done, and now I'm so thankful it was preformed by Dr. Swank!! I had my surgery 3 months ago and I feel great. It feels so good to walk, squat, jump, etc. without difficulty. I am very happy with the results of the procedure and my recovery. Dr. Swank came to me highly recommended; he is very knowledgeable, professional and easy to talk to.
