Dr. Michael Elchanan Toaff, MD

When I contacted Dr. Toaff, I had been bleeding 21 days straight. My GYN at the time did not recommend a hysterectomy since I was not anemic and did not have fibroid tumors. I was given birth control pills from time to time to stop the bleeding. The pills worked for a while but the bleeding always returned usually heavier and more frequently. I simultaneously wore super duty tampons, pads and a towel. I discovered Dr. Toaff's website while searching for alternative to hysterectomies. Now ten years later, I thank God for Dr. Toaff. He was very kind with an excellent bedside manner. I am delighted to share and recommend him to any woman who desires to keep her uterus.

My Wife's visit was over 10 years ago now and had Dr. Toaff not helped her with her problem she would have taken the advice of local doctors and had a complete hysterectomy. Turns out they (meaning many) were all wrong and she had a simple surgery and been fine ever since. I will always speak highly of him and his kindness toward us. May he be blessed in all his steps wherever they might lead. We flew down from Alaska the day after we spoke with him and he operated on her 2 days later. in 3 more days were were home. Can never thank him enough for helping her.

My visit was years back, but I will forever be grateful to him and how he healed me. I only wish I would have known of him sooner as not to suffer a I did. In the end I recommend him first on his 'bedside manner', the nicest ,most sincere and make you feel like a "friend" and not a patient. Please, someone follow in this mans footsteps.....he really was a Godsend.

Dr. Toaff saved me from having to have an unnecessary hysterectomy, the only treatment option offered to me by other doctors for uterine/bladder prolapse. He spends time, listens, is incredibly skilled. A year after my surgery my problems are completely solved and my uterus was preserved. Even though I am past childbearing, I didn't want the complications caused by hysterectomies. He is ethical and fair. I wish there were more doctors like him.

Before seeing Dr. Toaff, I was told I had to have a hysterectomy to "fix" my fallen uterus. Dr. Toaff is one of very few doctors who have the expertise and willingness to resuspend the uterus, rather than cutting it out. My surgery was 100% successful. He was available by phone at all hours after my surgery. A skillful, caring and compassionate doctor.

I highly recommend Dr. Toaff. He's a brilliant physician. He is highly skilled, professional, and truly cares for the well being of his patients.

I love Dr. Toaff and I am mot easily persuaded. This docotr cared about me and pursued me for a year to take care of myself and my health. I went to two ther doctors who told me that I would basically be gutted like a fish and to live with my condition, however, Dr Toaff gave me a better option. Now, I have normal cycles, my iron and energy are up 100%. He is a true Blessing.

I had many Doctors tell my I needed a complete hysterectomy without giving me a diagnosis for my condition. I contacted Dr. Toaff via email and he called me back the following morning. After telling him about my symptoms he sent me to get a pelvic mri. I had the disc sent to Dr. Toaff and he called me with a diagnosis. I then saw Dr. Toaff at his office for an examination and scheduled the surgery. Dr. Toaff saved me from having a hysterectomy. Surgery was successful,and I finally had a diagnosis.

He is a genius in his field. He saved my life, literally...removing a tumor and not the organ. Definately a role model and dedicated caring physician.

By the time patients come to Dr. Toaff, they are usually not in the best shape. He has the equipment in his office to diagnose most problems. He speaks frankly, but still with sensitivity. He tries to keep the mood light and treats his patients like queens. When I first contacted Dr. Toaff, I was 21, begging for a hysterectomy, and 2 months from death. All of this was due to complications from having my second child three years earlier. I had been misled by doctors in my area as to what my problems were. One doctor went so far as to tell me I had a cist in my uterus, and he even gave me the measurements. Mostly, I was told the symptoms were all in my head. In one visit, Dr. Toaff properly diagnosed me with an infection that was ravaging my reproductive system for the nearly 3 years since my daughter had been born. He placed me on very strong antibiotics for about a month and then operated on me to remove the remaining scar tissue. After 3 years of agony, I finally had… relief. I also have anxiety and panic attacks when going to the doctor due to my experiences for the 3 years prior to meeting with Dr. Toaff. He has always been sensitive to that. He understands my difficulties and helps me work through them during appointments. I could go on and on. The bottom line is that Dr. Toaff is a great person. He compliments that with being a highly skilled doctor and surgeon. I have been a patient of his for nine years, and I am alive today because of him. He eased my fears with his gentle nature and even had me smiling through my ordeals. I owe him my life, and I could never thank him enough.
