Dr. Michael Shawn Werkema, MD

All I can say is wow! Dr Werkema and his staff have been absolutely incredible! He was very patient with me and answered any and all questions i had in regards to the surgery and my options and never made me feel rushed!! He was very thorough in his explanations not only to me but my husband and family. His nurse Tammy and his other office staff were incredible even as far as reviewing all my insurance and costs. I could not say enough good about him and his obvious skill and surgical gifts. I would recommend him to someone very young or very old or anywhere in between!!

I have been going to him since he was a resident at St.Marys. I followed him to his new office. I now live out of state and will still go back to MI to see him once a year. He will listen to everything you have to say and he cares! I won't go to a diff. doctor. When I had my daughter, his old office told me he was "Full" and they were going to put me with someone else. Dr. Werkema seen my file and called me and told me that I was going to stay with him. Must be something to have a patient from a diff state stay with ya!
