He is a good dictor with a amazing bedside manner he cares about his patients i trust him with my legs hips

First, I would like to say that my mother saw him for a possible hip replacement, not myself, and I was not there so I an getting all the information second-hand, but I would not recommend this doctor to ANYONE. My mother is certainly overweight, and she would agree with that, but he told her she was fat and needed to lose at least 50 pounds before he would consider doing the surgery. He was very rude and not at all helpful for her. When she asked him for weight loss advice since she cannot exercise much due to hip pain, he told her he saw "a lot of hungry days in your future". Totally uncalled for and frankly unprofessional. Like I said she definitely needs to lose some weight prior to surgery, but he could have given her some guidance, advice...even some hope. I had not heard good things about him in the first place (I am in the healthcare field) and my mother will certainly not be seeing anyone from Carilion Ortho again.

DR. WOLFE WAS VERY STRAIGHT AN TO THE POINT ABOUT MY KNEE. HE HAS A WONDERFUL BEDSIDE MANNER. HE MADE ME FEEL VERY RELIEVED ABOUT EVERYTHING. Thank you.

the whole experience from first office visit thru post op was very good. We saw the PA several times as well. Would recommend Dr. Wolfe.

I found Dr. Wolfe very knowledgeable and also very kind in the treatment that I received have 2 hip replacement surgeries done by him. I would recommend him to anyone that needs that surgery done

HORRIBLE PRACTICE! Carilion Orthopedics is one of the worst in the area for patient treatment. Very long wait times, inconsiderate staff, doctors who do not care. Wolfe is more concerned with money and golf than he is at doing his job. This clinic should be closed down.

I have always found Dr. Wolfe to be very personable and caring, He also has a wonderful sense of humor. His staff - although very busy - have always been professional and helpful.

After hip replacement I was still in great pain and Dr Wolfe put his hands in my face to stop me from crying and said he didn't do emotions. He did make my leg a 1/2 inch longer than the other and now I am in more pain and can't walk well at all. Now my knees hurt and I must have 1/2 inch added to the sole of shoes for the short leg. He told me that he was a carpenter, he cuts and fixes people. Well he didn't fix me very well. Months of therapy. How long does it take the muscles to grow or adjust to the new length? He told me he didn't make my leg longer. Well, if he didn't, who did?
