I saw Dr Z for about 3 years for bipolar disorder. He was very available, kind, understanding, and experienced. He spent a lot of time going through options for treatment and always made me feel that he was listening and understood my needs. I was very sad when he stopped seeing patients at his outpatient clinic at Providence. Thank you Dr Z!

spent a lot of time with me in the hospital, asked good questions, talked to my mom and helped me get connected with a doctor outside the hospital.

Saw him for 2 years for intense depression, and he was ok, though he invalidated my experiences often. I was struggling intensely with dissociation, which he did not seem to believe or acknowledge, and then he refused to see me after I hurt myself during a dissociative episode (which I don't remember) because he thought I was too much of a liability to his license. He abandoned me and offered no help or referral to find another provider.
