Dr. Micheal Samuel Young, MD

The followup appt after gallbladder surgery I told him about pain I was having. He said "that's where I took the gallbladder from". A few days later the pain began to spread to my right rib area. I called his office many times explaining the pain & burning I was having. They always said "nerves waking up". When it moved to my left side. I told them "It is NOT nerves waking up" I went to his office 3 times after that. Here are some of thing he actually said "There's no little man in there poking you" "Maybe it's fibromyalgia?" "I don't know why you keep coming back here" "Clips don't just fall off" I said "Yes, they can" he says "Not mine". Over a YEAR, I got worse. So, I got tested for titanium. It was positive! The Allergist sent it to my 2 doctors. Young immediately shot a note stating "clips have never been removed for that reason" I sent a .gov showing there has. He says "I studied these cases. It's not what you have". 4 mos after algy test, clips are still in me and I'm miserable!… Horrible after care treatment!

I "visited" Dr. Young yesterday. I was impressed with all the staff. Amazed might be more accurate! Great job!

Dr. Young pushed a procedure that didn't resolve my issues. During my follow up, he told me my unresolved symptons didn't exist. He also used a surgical assistant that was never mentioned prior to my surgery. My insurance wouldn't cover the $8k billed for the assistant because my procedure didn't require one. I honestly wonder how much of the procedure was performed by the non MD assistant instead of Dr. Young.

I saw Dr. Young for possible surgery. He said I have 2 options. Do Surgery or can leave it alone and just watch it. He didn't feel I needed the surgery. This made me feel very good that he wouldn't jump into surgery. He sat and talked with me and wasn't in a hurry. I had a 2:30 appointment but was there about 1:50 and was out of the appointment by 2:20. All of the staff was very friendly, also. If ever I need him in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to go to him.

Dr Young was a excellent Doctor! Explained procedure, answered any questions I had, compassionate . His staff was very friendly ,and helpful also . Surgery had no problems . I'm healing well ,and doing great ! Thanks to Dr Young ,and his staff . Highly recommend !

I was sent to this physician to consult on possible gallstone surgery. His manner disturbed me, so when he asked me when I’d like to schedule the surgery, I said I wasn’t ready to make a decision. He then said, “I don’t think you have gallstones anyway.” So why was he ready to operate??? In addition, I asked if he would remove a small cyst from my back. He asked for a second nurse to come in and then each nurse took hold of each arm to hold me down, which seemed odd. Then he gave me a quick shot of numbing and IMMEDIATELY began digging into my flesh with a knife. I was yelling OMG that hurts! But instead of giving me more numbing, which is what any normal doctor would do, he just kept digging. He’s a monster. Stay away.

Went to see Dr. Young and he said nothing was wrong with my right side even though it hurt. Never had me get on the table to check me out. Just pulled my pants down and told me that I was fat and that the paid was probable nerve pain in my stomach and to see a nerve doctor for it. To follow up with my family doctor also. See I went to see him cause he did my first hernia surgery about 14 yrs ago. Back then I called him Dr. Micheal. When I told him this he told me he never went by that name but I knew different he still looked the same and in the same office. That is when he acted different towards me. Funny how things change. So know I will go and find out what is really wrong and then tell him what he missed?

Horrible treatment from Mr young complete denial that someone could still be in pain after his god like touch .

Dr. Young was very nice and thorough in my exam and in surgery. I am very pleased. I had heard from others that he was not a pleasant person, but I found him to have a great personality and fun sense of humor

This doctor completely missed my needed surgery and instead suggested I take a week off to rest. After doing so I still needed the surgery and lost out not only on a week of wages but the cost of the hotel as I was not near my home. I ended up getting a second opinion and had the surgery and are now pain free. I would suggest finding any other doctor for a surgical consult as even my General Practicioner who sent me there was able to see what I needed.
