I apologize how long this review is! Dr. A helped deliver my son (second baby) in 2016 and I couldn't be more grateful for the level of care and compassion she showed me throughout the entire process. I was a transfer patient as we had just moved to the area and I was in my 6/7th trimester. I was searching all over for a practice that resembeled the amazing Midwifery care I received while pregnant with my daughter in Upstate NY. I definitely looked all over and nothing felt right until I walked into Wombkeepers. I remember crying happy tears because I was so blown away with how serene, beautiful and home like the practice felt and how Dr. A took her time talking to me, giving me a hug when I felt emotional and really listening to all my worries and concerns. This is how each appointment went leading up to the birth of my son and still to this day when I go in for check ups two years later! Before I get to my labor and delivery, I want to clear the air on any misunderstandings… regarding the phone system. It's an automated answering system that helps navigate and direct calls. If you prefer to speak to the receptionist (and Doula) Noelle, just press "0" and she'll always pick up. Noelle is so sweet and professional, always at the front desk and has another staff member assist with calls if she steps away. It's a small and growing practice and they do their best to answer the phones promptly. Now, on to my labor and delivery story. I was over a week late and Dr. A never pressured an induction. In fact, when I hit two weeks over due she suggested that an induction will probably be necessary but offered a "wait and see" option where I could come in daily to be monitored and check on the baby to see how baby and myself were doing. We did a few of these visits when during my second day coming in, Dr. A said for the health of the baby and myself, it's best to kick start labor and induce. Although I was disappointed (and so was Dr. A...she was rooting for and supporting me to go into labor naturally) I wasn't going to have a complete natural birth like my daughter, I knew that this was the best decision. I was induced gradually and was able to labor as natural as possible, moving around and walking. I had a doula that was provided through Wombkeepers and her name was Ann-Marie. She was wonderful. My labor dragged on and on making little progress but I saw Dr. A frequently as she'd come in to check on me. I never felt she was gone for super long stretches but she also gave me space to labor quietly. This is common with Midwifery care as well as they do not stay in the room with you the entire time (a doula does). After a very long labor, I gave birth to my healthy baby boy but had a hematoma that formed while pushing. Dr. A was quick to act and literally performed surgery WHILE I was delivering my son. Had I not have had Dr. A there to quickly address the situation, I could have been in trouble. She was so calm and collected as she stitched me up while I held my son skin to skin. I am forever grateful for Dr. A trying to let me labor and deliver as natural as possible while unfortunately given my situation (stubborn baby) it was more medical. I felt so relieved and had the peace of mind knowing Dr. A is an evidenced based FACOG and that I was in good hands. I hope this review helps give clarity and reassurance to other women looking for quality care. I highly recommend Dr. A and Wombkeepers.

After seeing all her reviews of how great she is! Not true! Will never return back to this office! They need to fix their servers staff and manager! Calls are never return and the manger always has an emergency or attitude. Very unprofessional!

Staff is not friendly. Manager is very unprofessional, speaking about patients personal business to staff. Attitude on phone calls, calls never returned.

Dr. A is a wonderful doctor who is very patient and listens to all your questions. Her staff is very courteous and warm. I took all her birth, hypno birthing classes and hired her staff doula and I had the most amazing natural birth without any tearing thanks to her.
