I have always had an innate desire to help people, and I've always been interested in nutrition. Combining those two things is what led me to a career as a registered dietitian. Every day, I get to help patients make changes that will ultimately improve their overall health and their quality of life. This is why I find being a dietitian to be such a fulfilling career. \n Excellent medical care should be patient centered. By focusing on each patient as an individual, I can provide a holistic care plan. My patients benefit when I consider not just their current health but their personal preferences while developing a plan to meet their unique health goals. I am proud to be a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, giving me special skills and knowledge to help those living with diabetes. I also hold a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management, and I enjoy helping those who are looking to take better control of their weight. \n Outside of work, my family keeps me busy; …my husband and I have two daughters. We love staying active, especially hiking and spending time outdoors.
