Dr. Michelle Lechman, PhD

Dr. Lechman did intake for Asheville Counseling and Psychological Services. After what seemed to be a good interview related to an autism inquiry, she referred me to another diagnostician in the firm who performed seeming irrelevant tests that never addressed the presentation question. She either did not understand the issue herself or communicated the results of her intake inadequately.

She actually works at Appalachian Counseling and Psychological Services doing testing. Those other places and phone numbers are wrong. You might want to update your website. Dr. Lechman is quite nice and worked well with my son. It was really useful to have him tested.

I went to New Leaf Academy where she was the main psychologist. My meetings with her helped me get throught the weeks. She truly helped me through a dark time in my life. Ten years later she still stands out in my mind. I would recommend her to everyone.

I had my daughter evaluated by Dr Lechman. She made my daughter feel comfortable about the testing process. She really helped us too. Wish she would do more therapy. I imagine she would be great.

Dr. Lechman saw me for 9 months while I was in residential care at the now closed New Leaf Academy of North Carolina. She was manipulative, provided false information to my parents, and I never felt safe in her office. I was bullied relentlessly during my stay, and Dr. Lechman never stepped in to help resolve the issue. I felt invalidated during every session. Seeing her has caused long term affects to my health. Seeing her was a traumatic experience and I wouldnâ??t recommend her to anyone.
