Dr. Michelle Hutchinson Reddy, MD

I've been a patient of Dr. Reddy for over 10+ years and will never go to anyone else. She is the most compassionate person who really cares about ME and doesn't look at me like a patient but as a person. She takes the time to get to know me. I've been through surgeries and menopause with Dr. Reddy. Doesn't matter where I live, I will drive anywhere to continue to see her.

Not a good Dr. if you are looking for a V-back or if you have a C-section. I met with her before making her my doctor and talked to her about wanting to have a V-back. She reviewed my history and told me no problem. Every visit, I had to initial a paper stating I still wanted a V-back. Suddenly at my second to last visit she became very nervous about my decision. She began to do her best to talk us out of it and became agitated when we continued. She called in her head Dr in to scare us with stories of death and asked us to change our hospital from Lakewood to LB. I was confused, why after months of initialing her paperwork was she now concerned with my choice. I confronted her about her agitation and was told I was probably misreading her because I was hormonal. (Come to find out she was 2-3 months pregnant herself.) Long story short, I was very upset and confused I let them scare me into another C-section. My incision stayed open and started to get infected. She put me on meds and… chemically burnt the wound. It was minor but two of MY friends had the same experience with her. One of them even had to pack her incision. This is crazy and unheard of. I've had three C's, one before her and one after. I suffered for 5 1/2 years with horrible scare tissue not know what was wrong. When I finally had my third child, I was told all seven layers of tissue had been sown together as if in a super emergency c-section, but I was scheduled. My current Dr. had to separate all the fused tissue. He said it was a mess and was very disappointed in the Dr. Reddy's work. Bottom line is she seems to be an unskilled surgeon.

I have been seeing Dr Reddy for several years. The doctor is very kind and smart! I enjoy the education she provides with each visit. I only wish she had a model of my body part as I'm not as fimiliar as she is. All in all this office is a good place to go. This office deals with all the difficulties in regards to health insurance issues and difficult patients that don't take responsibility for their insurance (like the prior reviewer). Don't blame them just be careful who you vote for and educate yourself on your own insurance so you don't have surprises when you go to this office.

I have been seeing Dr. Reddy for a number of years. I find her to be very caring, an excellent listener and very informative on matters of women's health. She spends a great deal of time getting to know you personally. It's not a rush, in and out like some doctors I've had experience with. I would trust my life to this woman any time. The staff is knowledgeable. Make your appointments in advance, as Dr. Reddy is very busy. Nancy, her Nurse Practitioner is wonderful as well. I always look forward to seeing Dr. Reddy, and that's unusual. People don't always feel that way about doctor appointments!

After I wrote my original review I learned that the amount of the bill I did not pay was $10.00. They refuse to continue to see me as a patient over $10.00. Because I am somewhat disorganized and tend to let mail pile up I always pay my portion when I am at the doctor's office. I want to deal with as few bills as possible so I have reoccurring bills on automatic pay through online banking. Dr. Reddys office billed me $10.00 because when I checked out after a visit they asked for a co-pay (which I paid) that was $10.00 less than it should have been. I believe this is their error. Had they asked me for the correct co-pay amount none of this would have happened. Additionally, my daughter is a patient of Dr. Reddys' and the practice will still see her even though I pay her bills. This is senseless, blind rule following at its worst! Another rule I learned about recently is that if you need a prescription and they have already given you one they charge $5.00 to provide you with another… one. My daughter needed a new prescription for a three month supply of medication via a mail order pharmacy covered by our insurance. She did not think to ask for this during her visit and was given a regular one month supply prescription to use at the local pharmacy. Because she already received this prescription they charge $5.00 to give her a new one for a three month supply. I have spoken to other doctors about these office policies and they were shocked. I have never encountered this kind of treatment at a doctors office before and hope it does not become a trend in the future. This is bureaucratic, money grubbing, senseless, blind rule following at its worst! I blame whatever service run by bottom line MBAs they hired to manage their office for these policies. I blame the doctors for literally buying into it. They pay people to establish and enforce these distasteful policies and rules.

Dr. Reddy and the other doctors in this practice are wonderful, but the practice has unforgiving office policies. If you sometimes become overwhelmed and disorganized by lifes' demands, if you sometimes forget to make appointments or pay bills this is not the practice for you. If you miss your annual exam they will not refill your prescriptions until you come in. If a small bill goes into collections either because you don't have the money or forget to pay they will no longer take you as an patient even though you have been one of their patients for years and have never missed a payment before.They will not talk to you about why you did not pay. They will not take you back as a patient even if you offer to pay over the phone. They will not work with you at all. They just dump you as a patient repeating "this is office policy". I asked to speak with my doctor about this and they would not allow me to do this repeating "this is office policy"Dr. Reddy has a big heart but this practice… does not. They are cold and corporate as can be!

Really cannot say enough about this doctor, very knowledgeable with very clear answers to patients questions. Additionally, she is willing to devote her time to your appointment and post-diagnosis will advise on options and procedures involved making very certain she is understood as well. All in all, just the best.

I love Dr. Reddy! She has the bedside manner that many Drs have lost and she spends the time needed to make you comfortable.
