I owe a debt or gratitude to Dr for restoring the vision in my only seeing eye. I am also grateful to the entire surgical team. I was born with macular scar in my Right Eye, as a result of which vision in the Right Eye is practically nil. Dr. decided to deal with the cataract in the bad eye first, so that she would be in a better position to assess what kind of of probable situation she could run into when operating upon on my Left Eye 2 weeks later. She would be having all the contingency measures handy. My cataract surgery was not a routine case. I have only one seeing eye and that is my Left Eye, and the procedure was a complicated one. Naturally, I was very anxious about the surgery and its outcome. From the very first consultation, Dr. demonstrated knowledge, confidence, patience, and compassion. The doctor carefully explained the risks and answered all my questions, giving me the confidence to proceed. The surgery was performed with remarkable skill and professionalism. Thanks to… god and Dr. expertise, the operation was a successful one, and my vision was restored. For someone in my situation, the result has been truly life changing. lam 82 years old and understand how precious eye sight is. I will always remain grateful to doctor for the care, dedication, and surgical excellence shown throughout my treatment. I have ASD and PTSD. I needed to get cataract surgery and was extremely nervous. I explained to Dr. Sims that it is extremely hard to knock me out. She assured me that she would make the procedure as least painful as possible but I had my doubts. Even though I remained fully conscious for both eyes my pain level was a 1.5 out of 10 because Dr. Sims is that good of a surgeon and realizes every patient is different. Dr. Sims is highly compassionate and highly skilled. Between my 2 eyes being done she went on vacation but still called in to check on me. If your fear level is extremely high go to Dr. Sims. She kept me from having an autistic meltdown. My vision now is remarkable.

Caring, great doctor

Recently had cataract surgery by Dr. Sims and after the surgery I immediately noticed that my vision was not what it should be. After several visits and not getting the problem resolved, I sought a second opinion and found out that the IOL (intraocular lens) that was inserted in my eye was the wrong power. The new surgeon I sought found completely different readings from the readings that were collected from Dr. Sim's staff at Wheaton Eye Clinic. I had to get LASIK surgery to correct the poor vision in my eye that had resulted from Dr. Sim's surgery. I am completely satisfied with the result I obtained from my new surgeon, and I would not recommend Dr. Sims or Wheaton Eye Clinic to my friends and family.
