Dr. Michiyo Ambrosius, PhD

I have been a patient of Dr. Michiyo Ambrosius for over 2 years now. I used to see her in the office, but with COVID, she has been able to continue her work via video calls. I have anxiety, PTSD and depression, and seen multiple therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists over the years. Dr. A is the most amazing healer I've encountered yet. She has helped me so much, to overcome my childhood wounds, and has helped me realize what is truly important in my life. I now have a peace and center in myself that is growing and healing more each day. For the first time in my life, I feel like I have a solid foundation inside, that cannot be taken away by things around me and people who don't have my best interests at heart. She's taught me a lot about self-worth and I've learned how to allow myself to be a priority. I no longer rely on approval from others, and I have moved past my visceral need to "people please" in order to feel valued. Working with her is not your ordinary treatment, and… her methods are different than the traditional therapy I've had. She is authentic, kind, respectful and reassuring, yet direct and firm when you need it. I am so grateful I found her, because truly, she has helped me find my best self.

Dr. Michiyo is very authentic and honest. She allowed me to be myself and open up to her, which allowed to start healing process after years with other therapists. I have seen so much improvement in my approach to life. I am becoming very optimistic all thanks to Dr. Michiyo!

year now to treat chronic PTSD. She's a fantastic therapist, and her knowledge and skills go far beyond "simply" treating PTSD. She continuously helps me with current challenges and issues in my life and relationships. She has helped me tackle weight issues, self-esteem boosts, professional hurdles, and lots of deep trauma. I can count on her wisdom and advice in nearly every area of life. She encourages and pushes me to do the hard work necessary to heal and take control of my life, and as a result, my life is continuously improving. She uses an integrated, holistic approach, combining several schools of thought and methods, combined with her own experiences. I've often said she works miracles. I still have a long way to go to get myself where I should be, but Dr M has made me believe that not only can I get there, but I will. And I am, with her right beside me. I can't thank her enough for being everything I didn't even know I needed. JG

This person should not practice any type of the patient care. She is not adequate in my opinion. Most likely will cause more stress and anxiety.

Her ineptness was apparent within a few sessions.
