Dr. Michon Bechamps, MD

Dr. Bechamps was my primary care physician for about three years during which time I came to dread each visit with her. I have to assume that she is quite capable as a physician, however, her ability to interact with patients is sorely lacking. She was very nice for the first two visits and seemed quite talkative, but after that, she seemed to withdraw and seemed as if she wanted to be any place other than with a patient. I can only assume that she has some difficulties at home that are interfering with her ability to be a good physician. The trust and interaction between doctor and patient are critical components of medical care, and it's a good thing I never had any real illnesses while under her care, because I came to feel uncomfortable in talking with her about small things that were bothering me.

Michon Bechamps lacks my trust as she gave misinformed details to my mother regarding her diagnosis. In my opinion, Michon should not carry the "Dr." title, which is why I did not add it in front of her name. Her distant behavior towards my mother led me to think that she'd rather be doing something else. I do not trust Michon's medical judgement.

Dr. Bechamps was overseeing my husband along with her colleague, Dr. Patterson. The pair of them have no business working with a cancer patient in a skilled nursing facility. I would rather expire than to have them oversee my care.

Dr. Bechamps visits to my elderly mother gave everyone there the impression she would rather be anywhere else. I would not recommend her for any elderly patient. We had to take my mother out of the facility to see another doctor because Dr Bechamps choose to return to her office to see patients there and did not visit my mother personally when the nurses told her she was very ill. Selma Medical Assoc should consider assigning another physician to elder care facilities. A minus star rating is more appropriate.

Dr Bechamp is honest and straightforward in speaking her mind. She doesn't seem to hold much back and that's refreshing because many patients need to learn the unvarnished opinions of their practioners.
