Dr. Migdalia Merida, MD

She use to be a wonderful doctor, but she drank the Steward cool-aid. She's gone to the other side, the dark side. She use to listen & care, now she's on that get them in & out deal. Time is money. It's a shame, I trusted her & liked her. I hope she never has to be treated badly by Dr.s when she's having, maybe hormonal issues or worse.

My mother was diagnosed with needing ferritin and other iron labs for her annual check-up. Quest said my mother's medicare and Tricare for life (Advantage plan for military widows) said the test were unneeded. I verified with Dr. Merida that the tests were required and she said yes and that the office would recode the order. Nine months later with 3 on-site visits and 6 calls to the office the office staff and office manager has not completed the paperwork. Meanwhile, Quest is going into collections for my low-income mother (who has the insurance but the office will not process). When I call I am told no one but Tammy can process, but when I request to speak to her they tell me they can't locate her (6 times) and when I visit the office, I'm told she can't come to the visitors lounge to speak with me. I have contact the BBB and my local state rep for help. We (Dr. Merida is my doctor too) will leave this medical office as soon as I can locate a new physican.
