Dr. Mihai Dimancescu, MD

I came to know Dr. Dimancescu in late 1980 after my brother suffered a severe brain injury and was comatose. Even though my brother passed after 23 months it was the support group @ SNUH & Dr. Dimancescu who gave us hope. I believe if my brother had his accident now days, immediate treatment in the hospital under Dr. Dimancescu care I feel would have been more promising for my brothers future. Unfortunately , timing and place (accident in Chicago) was not in our favor. I know he is at peace and I think of Dr. Dimancescu often, especially when I come across or hear of a brain injured patient. I know he is a blessing in everyone's lives he has contact with.

Extremely nice man, very kind, intelligent and a very thorough physician. The front staff are very nice and accommodating as well. The problem lies when you actually HAVE to schedule your surgery. They have what seems to be one surgical scheduler for this entire practice, and she is impossible to get on the phone if you miss her call. It's nerve wracking when you are scheduling a brain or spine surgery and you can't get in touch with the one person who does the scheduling, and they have the information for pre-surgical testing, etc. This is the only issue I've had with the office, however. My consult with Dr. Dimancescu was very good, and I am very happy with the surgeon he recommended.
