I had an extensive spontaneous pneumothorax in my left lung.firefighters took me to the bethesda heart hospital where dr patel and his staff met me and saved my life.The week I was hospitalized, I received special care and attention from Dr Patel and his team. they were always friendly, safe and positive. Under the leadership of dr Patel all medical staff and helpers were very important to me feel safe and confident in my recovery.I'm from a family of doctors, in Brazil, and I know how to recognize good health professionals.my husband and I will be eternally grateful to them all. Met Dr. Patel as admitting MD in the ER at Bethesda Hospital. I was sent to the ER by my personal physician for an infection in my hand caused by an insect (spider?) bite. My personal physician had been treating me with antibiotics for several days and after consulting with a hand specialist, was told to be admitted to the hospital through the ER for several days of intense IV antibiotic treatment since my symptoms had become significantly worse. Dr. Patel was not pleasant although he seemed to do his job. He seemed in a hurry since he did not listen to my story very well. He also seemed condesending while completing his examination. My 2-star rating is only based on his educational profile and experience. Otherwise, I would rate 1-star and not recommend him for any services.
