Dr. Misti Michelle Bartell, DO

Dr. Bartell places self interest above patient's interest. In my experience, she scheduled an induction for as many of her patients as possible on her working day to have them give birth in time for her to be home for dinner. When I was still pushing close to dinnertime, she became visibly annoyed. She grabbed for the episiotomy scissors without prior discussion or asking for consent to cut me in a non-emergency situation. And she "assisted" my baby's delivery by forcefully pulling him out causing unnecessary damage. She happily did not examine me at my 6 week appointment but did tell me that I was fully healed. I found out the hard way I was not fully healed. I cannot recommend Dr. Bartell.

I’ve been seeing Dr Bartell throughout my entire high risk pregnancy. She’s always highly responsive, willing to spend time talking to me about any concerns, and always on time!! When an issue arises, she addresses it immediately and I never have to wait. I love her!

I have been a patient of Dr. Bartells for 11+ years. She delivered all 3 of my babies. I couldn't have asked for a more caring doctor. She was always checking in to see how I was feeling and how the babies were coming along! My last two pregnancies were extremely hard and she did all she could to make me comfortable. I will forever be her patient as long as she's practicing.

I love Dr. Bartell. I went to her for my second pregnancy and delivery. I will be going back for a cycestomy. Nurse Tameko and Surgery coordinator Rachel were very helpful and informative. However, front desk staff are airheads. I was put on hold several times before being helped and even forgotten on hold when trying to make an appointment. I also found them rude and saying personal info to me across the waiting room instead of calling me up and speaking softer.

Dr. Bartell is very cold and uncaring. She ruined the birth experience for me when I delivered my son. I had an vaginal infection the whole time I was pregnant that they didn't do anything about, just tested me once and said you don't have a yeast infection! I found out later is was another infection. She had me induced so I didn't disrupt her Christmas, I don't think my son was ready either. She made it clear her vacation was more important than my unborn child. She was late to the birth and they told me to stop pushing until she got there. My large son was sitting in my vagina stuck until she got there, he was ready to come out! I think holding him in there cause me to tear more. During the birth I felt like I didn't even know the women delivering my child. She talked to the nurse and kind of ignored me. Thank god the nurse was one of the nicest women I have ever met or I couldn't have made it through. I felt like I was livestock giving birth to a calf. That's the kind of… compassion I felt from her. The doctors est. weight for my baby was 7 pounds yet he came much larger. He was too large for my body and caused tears. I feel I should of had a c-section. Dr. Bartell did a poor job on my episiotomy. I also had a prolapse that was not diagnosed by her or at her office at my 6 week check up. They did not even examine me. They just gave me a script for birth control and sent me on my way. She is a horrible person and a poor excuse for obgyn. I do not recommend her if you are looking for any bed side manner or peace of mind through pregnancy and after birth. You will be just be another name that makes her paycheck. My first birth was by Southwest women's Care. They were much much more caring and thorough.

I had a difficult pregnancy and I would not have wanted another doctor besides Dr. Bartell. She made me feel comfortable in expressing my concerns. My husband liked her too. She always included him when talking to me. Highly suggest you see her.

Once, Dr. Misti started her exam, and looked at my belly she said to me "Are you getting ANY exercise AT ALL?" How inappropriate, uncaring and rude. She had NO idea what I had been through in the last year and was totally OFF BASE making such a rude comment.

I would and have recommended Dr. Bartell to other women, especially family. She is caring and thorough and does not take up your time with nonsense. What an amazing human being!!

I had some symptoms I was ready to dismiss but Dr. Bartell called me and urged me to come back in for further tests. Turns out I have ovarian cancer. As she discussed findings with me, she was reassuring and professional but most of all caring. I really feel I owe her my life.

A couple years ago my PCP found I had an abdominal tumor and I needed surgery within weeks. A friend recommended Caring for Women and I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Misti Bartell. She saw me quickly and performed the surgery two weeks later. The entire experience was as good as it gets. I have not one complaint about Misti or the other doctors who checked on me at the hospital. Every person who cared for me did an excellent job.
