Dr. Mitchell Prywes, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Prywes for a few weeks now. He and his staff are wonderful. Dr. Prywes listens to you and addresses your specific issues. He is compassionate, kind and understanding of chronic pain. He doesn’t make you feel like your making things up or trying to “doctor shop for narcotics” as he does not prescribe pain medication. He knows what he is doing and never tries to do anything without your permission. He and his staff are professional and honest. You are never made to feel like a dollar ($) sign. He spends his time treating you, not going from one patient to another as fast as possible. There aren’t enough doctors out there like him. Everything he suggests you do is simply to alleviate pain. You are treated with dignity and respect at all times. He is one of the rare doctors who actually care about you. He has, on more than one occasion, spoken directly with me over the phone. During times of an increase in pain, he accommodated his schedule to treat… you. Once he cut his lunch break in half to see me. No one does that anymore. No one. I will continue to see him as his abilities to approach pain are rare and almost incomparable.

My experience was very positive. Dr Prywes took the time to listen and genuinely cared about me, trying to relieve my pain. Besides acupuncture, he offered other treatment options. His office staff is also great.

I am a BC survivor, one year out from a masectomy and still undergoing reconstruction. I have recently been seeing Dr. Prywes for pain relief in my back, neck and shoulder. He has been able to pinpoint the problem areas and release muscular tightness. This has provided me with great relief.
