Dr. Mitra Hashemi, MD

My experience with Dr. Hashemi was very disappointing. This is my first time to write any review due to my busy schedule and also because I usually forget quickly about any bad experience. However, after today's visit with Dr. Hashemi I felt so disappointed and hurt that I think people deserve to know more about what to expect when seeing her. After making appointment follow up on my lab work that was not good and was done by another doctor, I arrived earlier for my appointment to check with front desk if they received all necessary paperwork that was supposed to be faxed by another office. The front desk technician confirmed with me that everything is fine and I was called to wait for doctor in the room. Upon her arrival she told me with very upset voice that she does not see anything in her computer and left. 25 minutes later she returned and started reading my lab results quickly and said she has to go see other patients because my time with her is done and that she will see me in 4… weeks again for another lab work. No any recommendation, advice or compassion came from her. Not even apology for their mistake that took all "my time " to fix it. Another 20 minutes went by and Office Manager came to talk with me. After I explained to her what happened another 25 minutes went by and she sent my Doctor back again. The first thing Dr. Hashemi did after she came back is giving me lecture on what respect is. She said " you know there should be mutual respect between doctor and patient in order for that relationship to work". At that point my feelings were so hurt I just wanted to cry. I never did or said anything rude to her, and was being scolded and given a lesson on respect for something that was not my fault. At 43 I never felt so disrespected in my life. I hope this helps other people when deciding if they wish this doctor to take care of them. Ivana

Dr. Hashemi spends time with her patients and answers questions patiently. For me that is very important. Recommended.
