Dr. Mohammad Habib Bawani, MD

I had a colonoscopy this week at Gastroenterologists Ltd. Dr. Bawani has a great bedside manner with being friendly and funny. He took time with explanations and answering questions that most doctors do not. Dr. Bawani's office staff and the anesthesiologists were personable and comforting in an uncomfortable situation. Highly recommend!

I recently had a procedure done at Dr. Bawani's office. He and his staff were very kind and made me feel well cared for and comfortable throughout the visit. Their personal care and follow up before the procedure and after with the results and explanation left me feeling comfortable and well cared for as a person. He wants to do a colonoscopy on everyone who sees him, even if they don't need one. I'm sitting in the waiting room & everyone who came out of his office was told they needed a colonoscopy. I wanted so badly to tell them you don't need one. I went to him & he wanted to give me one with Twlight Sleep even though he knew I'm allergic to it. The girl at front desk told me you have to have one because the doctor is requiring it. I told her NO, I had one a year ago & it was just fine with same problems I'm having. I'll just watch what I eat from now on so I don't get diarrhea. She had the nerve to call me stating you have not set up a date yet for a colonoscopy. I told her I don't need one; I'm not going to die on the operating table for an unnecesary colonoscopy because he refuses to give me the regular sleeping med that other doctors given me for past colonoscopy.

Dr. Bawani is very patient focused, taking all needed time before and after procedures to answer questions, explain procedures from patient and other family members. Staff is also patient focus. At recent appointment, a "technical issue" first caused delays and then "re-scheduling" appointments. I was kept updated on progress of attempts to resolve tech issues. Before being informed there was no immediate fix for the tech problem, the staff had arranged for alternative nearby site for scheduled procedures to be performed by Dr. Bawani within 2 hours of originally scheduled appointment. This was a greatly appreciated as no one would want to endure the prep more than once.

This is the best, the kindest and most caring Doctor that I have ever known. He makes you feel like you're his only patient and we know that's not true. The patients who live close enough to see him are blessed

I had sent a review 2 months but felt compelled after reading some one who seemed very petty in his remarks. I cannot express how wrongthat person is. He is truly the kind of doctor you dream of finding. My husband and i believe he's the kindest and most caring doctor we know of as well as most knowledgeble I have ever known. Dr Bawani was one of the kindness and caring drs I have ever had. I had bleeding ulcers very serious ones and he helped me immeasurably. Now we've retired to very southeast of Illinois. If there was any way I could see him now I surely would , because I trust him completely. My MD here thinks I have colon cancer & my husband & I both trust him so.

Excellent doctor and extremely caring about his patients. Always listens to you and truly is interested in your well being. Even when doing the tests, you feel he is concerned with making it as stress free as possible. Staff is very friendly and keeps you informed of any delays. Office is not fancy, but very clean and well kept. The emphasis is on YOU not a showplace surroundings. He is the only one I trust for such delicate matters and procedures.

I like Dr. Bawani and his staff. He is great with patients.
