Dr. Monica T. Foreman-Hyacinthe, MD

I saw Dr Foreman for several years. She never suggested my getting a bone density test. My regular doctor arranged for this recently and now I am told I have severe osteoporosis. She really missed the boat. An annual pap and asking "when was the last time you had a mammogram" is inadequate for a doctor taking care of woman's health issues. Disappointed is an understatement.

Dr. Foreman refused to see me when I reportedly showed up at her office on the wrong day. I was in the middle of a medical emergency which she was aware of but her staff informed me she was too busy and I would need to come back another day. Dr. Foreman knows me very well and did not have the decency to step out of her protected office space and speak to me, even for one minute. When I did get to see her the following week and follow up studies indicated there was a problem that needed follow up her staff told me she would call me that day to discuss my results and give me further information. She never called but instead emailed me with names of several surgeons I could contact. She did nit help me get an appointment with any of the doctors or pick up the phone to facilitate the process and I was left to struggle through this alone. She must have felt guilty or something as she then initiated several emails to me via "Montefiore My Chart" and asked me how I was doing. I don't need a… doctor to ask me how I'm doing. I need a doctor to be there for me when I need them and not literally turn their back on me. I'm not really sure what happened to Dr. Foreman but somewhere along the way she lost her empathy and compassion. If there is anyone who read earlier reviews saying how compassionate she is all I can say is - buyer beware. The true test of a good doctor is a doctor who rises to the occasion when you need them and not refuse to see you and then send you a slew of emails.

I had a complicated gyn infection. Dr. Forman reviewed all lab tests and results throughly and noticed that my prior doctor had misdiagnosed me and treated me with the wrong medications. She was a good listener and used a different form of treatment. My discouraging moment came when upon my return visit she said she did not know what else to do when the infection was not totally gone. However, I give her a lot of credit for deciding to confer with two other colleages in her office and to come up with one other treatment. I was slightly suprised that she didn't think of this herself but at least she was motivated enough to seek out her colelagues inputs in an effort to help me. That did the trick! I was really going crazy for months! I am switching to Dr. Forman as my regular gyn as overall I think she is a great doctor. And she really does listen!

Dr. Foreman is a wonderful doctor. Very patient, kind, and understanding. It is obvious that she is intelligent and cares very much about her patients. I have had a great experience with everyone in her office, and the wait has never been longer than 20 minutes - a rare occurrence in a Yonkers ObGyn office! Their new space is much nicer than the Cross County offices. Sometimes appointment times are limited but if you are really in a jam they will find a way to see you!!

Dr. Foreman is a great ob/gyn medical professional. She is always pleasant and compassionate and whenever I have a question I just write her an email and she promptly responds to me. Whenever I'm having an issue she does not hesitate to tell me to come to her office to see her. People need more caring doctors like her.
