Dr. Monica P. Moreno Daza, MD

Mu husband has been seeing Dr. Moreno for thyroid cancer over the past year. The found more cancer on his lymph node and Moreno has been treating it. She was very clear about the preparation and iodine radiation. However, we haven’t been able to get the results my husband has called every day since the treatment, left messages and asked for the results. It has been a week and no response. This is absolutely unacceptable and cruel. If you have cancer, you need answers! I have found another doctor and am still awaiting a return call terrible treatment. Inconsiderate and uncaring

Dr. Moreno, herself, seems to be quite competent. Her and her staffs communication skills are unacceptable. My husband has been seeing Dr. Moreno for thyroid cancer. She explains the process of treatment clearly but doesn’t follow up with explanations and answers. We have left so many messages as to test results or follow-up questions to NO avail. We never know what is going on and we just keep leaving messages. When you have cancer, you need your questions answered. We have finally given up and have found another doctor (right in the middle of radiation treatment). Unfortunately we still haven’t received the results of the test!! Look further

I waited in the exam room for over 45 min before finally leaving my room and finding someone to find out how much longer before I missed my daughter’s recital. A few weeks later, felt awful and thinking My thyroid was off again, had labs drawn and I have spent over a week waiting for a simple blood test result. I called the office three times asking for the results, was told the labs were in my file but they hadn’t been read yet and couldn’t tell me the results. I just needed to know whether my TSH free was low and by how much. Simple test. Never could get an answer. I finally had to fax the office a release so that I could have them and read them myself. Sure enough, it’s over 8 points too high. I could’ve been on a prescription by now and been feeling so much better. Ridiculous

Dr. Moreno seems very knowledgeable at answered all of our questions. She set a plan going forward which we were happy with. She ordered prescription and some tests. We had the tests immediately and it has been impossible to get through to her office for the results. it has been over 2 months since the prescription was ordered and the infusion Clinic has still not received the order. I have left 5 voicemails at Dr Moreno's office and personally went into their office only to be brushed aside. The infusion Clinic sent a fax and has not received a response. Even though I respect Dr Moreno, her staff makes it impossible to do business with her. The receptionist is a bright note in this office she seems overworked but truly a caring person and wants to help.

I could not be happier with the treatment and care I have received from Dr. Moreno. She has been nothing short of outstanding.

She might be good with diabetes, but if you have a thyroid problem I would go somewhere else. It would be worth your while to drive to Salt Lake City or Las Vegas to find an endocrinologist that is not too busy to care for her patients and that will try to make you feel better. She does not follow up and dismisses your issues. You deserve better!

Dr. Moreno did review all my previous records, blood work, and diagnosis. I felt like she spent a good amount of time with me. Unfortunately, Dr. Moreno does not support the use of Natural Dessicated Thyroid (NDT) medication. She does not appear to know how to dose the medication or interpret the correlating TSH, T4, and T3 when taking the medication. As I am currently taking NDT, I believe I have been inaccurately diagnosed.
