Dr. Monika Sylvia Bogal, MD

Lax in dealing with my medical issues: 1) Following my EKG or Echo, Dr. Bogal went on vacation. She neither told me she would be away nor suggested I reach out to another cardiologist in her office for feedback in the interim. Upon her return, she seemed anxious/a bit panicked by the results as she said I needed to see a cardiac electrophysiologist as soon as possible. (I needed a pacemaker to address 24-7 heart flutter & atrial fibrillation.) 2) Dr. Bogal suggested two pharma products that presumably would help with my kidney concerns – Jardiance & Farxiga. There was no effort to discuss the potential cardio implications – good, bad, or otherwise. Extremely poor communication skills: Inconsiderate and just plain rude: Dr. Bogal arrived approximately 45 minutes late for our appointment, never acknowledging that I’d been waiting all of that time. As she was leaving, I asked her for an apology. Her paraphrased response: I didn’t tell that guy to drive his car onto the highway then… have it break down. As she turned to leave, “goodbye” was her only parting remark. I would never go back to Dr. Bogal after she showed such disrespect and a serious lack of professionalism/decorum.

Dr. Monika Bogal is an excellent cardiologist , she explains things to me on a way that I understand and she is a very sweet person , very professional . I recommend Dr. Bogal as an excellent doctor .

Patient, pleasant, answers questions, explains tests results and procedures well. Brought me through assessment and prep and follow-up for open heart surgery in 2012 - and has been a superb resource ever since ...

I called the answering service because my 76 year old husband was in the hospital. I got a call 4 hours later and she told me my question was for a hospital administrator and I had no right to call her at 10 pm with this question when I pushed back and said I called four hours ago she insisted she just got the text and hung up on me. My advice steer clear

Stephanie Noonan is a physical therapist who presents herself as a "doctor" when calling doctor's offices or talking to staff. She pretends to know more than she does, and in her ignorance, causes harm to her mother. Her mother, who has atrial fibrillation, refused to have her blood pressure taken or an ECG done when coming to a cardiologist's office for a complaint of palpitations. A physician who did not perform these basic tests would be 1. incompetent and 2. penalized by Medicare for not doing the "standard" tests.

A DISGRACEFUL member of the medical community!!! My mother was assessed by Bogal last week after episodes of heart palpitations and high blood pressure. Tests performed were an EKG, blood work, echocardiogram and holter monitor readings. My mother was unable to obtain test results up to a week later. Finally, she was told to return to the office to see Bogal but was not given a reason. My mother(76 y/o) traveled by subway from Queens today and was told by "staff" that she needed additional testing. My mother requested to discuss results of her first tests and rationale for additional testing first but Bogal REFUSED to see my mother until additional testing was done! I don't know how she can call herself a doctor and sleep at night since it is obvious that she could care less about her patients. She should be renamed Dr. Bogus!

Dr. Monika Bogal is probably the WORST doctor I have ever been to!! She does not treat patients with respect and dignity. Her lack of care is of great concern. Please think twice before going to Dr. Bogal.
