Morgan Del Principe, DNP, AG-ACNP

Morgan Del Principe, DNP, AGACNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner specializing in neurosurgery who advocates for her patients and prides herself on delivering care with compassion. Del Principe brings many years as an ICU nurse to her practice and understands the importance of the patient/provider relationship. "As a registered nurse and now a doctor of nursing practice, I aim to provide an environment for my patients which fosters open communication," she said. "I truly value building trusted relationships with my patients and their families,' she added.

Along with a fascination and love of how the human body works, it was a transverse venous thrombosis (blood clot) in her brain that led her to pursue medicine as a career and practice. "I was able to understand the patient's point of view better," she said, "and always made it a point to ensure my patients do not feel dismissed. I want them to know I hear their concerns and will work with them to find solutions."

Morgan is a Tucson native …and attended the University of Arizona where she received both her Bachelor of Science in nursing, and her doctorate of nursing practice. She knows the desert heat can be a health risk. "Many individuals may become less active in the summer months and a sedentary lifestyle can lead to many health conditions," she said. She encourages her patients to find a form of exercise that feels like a fun activity and something they look forward to doing.

She loves that Tucson is home and stays for her family, the beautiful sunsets, mountains and year-round activities. She particularly enjoys yoga, spending time with her dogs and playing softball.
