Dr. Muhammad Azam, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Azam for almost three years, and unfortunately, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. When I scheduled the appointment, I clearly stated that it was for my annual physical. At no point was I informed that I should fast in preparation for bloodwork or that an EKG might be performed and that I should avoid wearing lotion. These are basic instructions that should have been communicated before the appointment. During the visit, Dr. Azam did very little beyond checking my breathing. I asked a few health-related questions, and because of those questions, the visit was billed as a regular office visit rather than an annual preventive physical. As a result, my insurance is now charging me for the visit, and I am responsible for additional out-of-pocket costs that I was not expecting. I am also being charged separately for cholesterol and Vitamin D testing, even though cholesterol testing has routinely been part of my annual bloodwork in the… past. I reached out to Dr. Azam for clarification and assistance with the billing and coding issues, but I felt that my concerns and questions were avoided rather than addressed. What was most disappointing was the lack of concern when I explained that, after nearly three years as his patient, I was considering switching to another provider because of this experience. There did not seem to be any effort to understand my concerns or help resolve the situation. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Dr. Azam or this medical group. Patients should be able to trust that an annual physical will be properly communicated, performed, and billed, and that when billing concerns arise, their provider will make a reasonable effort to assist them.

Have been going to this Doctor for more than 5 years. Love the attention he gives and never hurries you out. He makes sure he answers all your questions and is always pleasant and patient.

Submitted a form for my son's emergency allergy medication prescription. Two weeks later and still waiting for the doctor to fill it out. Front office unhelpful, called and left messages for the physicians assistant but no callback or response. The official line they give - form is on dr's desk, we have no control when he fills it. Oh really!! Why is the doctor taking this long to fill out a prescription form and why is the front office or his assistants reluctant to ask him to do it??

Dr. Azam is a very good at what he does. He thoroughly explains issues and concerns. What I like best is that he listens, then address your concerns and follows-up. I would highly recommend to my family and friends.

Dr. Azam is very patient. He is thorough with his examination and discusses different options from diet and exercise to medicine depending on ailment. I have been to many Doctors in my life and he is very good.
